On the first We Will Rock You tonight, it sounded like Adam came in too early after the instrumental break. But, he made it work, continuing to riff with Brian. He is such a seasoned pro, I don't think anyone knew that was not what he intended all along. It reminded me of some advice he gave the kids on Majors and Minors. It starts at 1:15 on this video. Also, 3:17 he talks about the importance of establishing good relationships with other people in the business. How you conduct yourself when meeting people, can result in work on down the line. Thinking of how Adam first met Brian and Roger on Idol, he has clearly demonstrated the importance of this lesson, don't you think?

EPIC EPIC EPIC!!!!!
Arriving late, to feast on the leftovers and find a 84 page menu with a buffet of riches.....unbelievable
Thank you to all the wonderful folks who have contributed, just sitting here in awe.
And mark my words, I think even this Nick something dude from The Daily Telegraph will write something reasonable, in spite of his ill chosen words. Perhaps the story goes and I am not using the exact quote, because he should not have said his way in the first place: I was not keen to go to an event where an American Idol is singing with Queen, what has R&R come to? After the show, I have to ask where has R&R fallen, if a talent like this has to go on AI to be detected.....
Would completely turn things around, wouldn't it?
Hey, it's possible, he only wanted rile up folks so they read his review. All reviewers are afraid that if they write positive reviews that they will go unnoticed. Little does he know the Glamberts, but I think in general it is true that negative reviews get much more attention than positive ones.
So, I have no idea whether I am right in this case, but somehow perhaps this guy will not turn out as bad as most here think.
Still should not have chosen his words that way....but anyhow....I'll wait and see and eventually eat my words, if he ends up being as close minded as his first tweet suggested. We'll find out soon enough.
Otherwise, Adam and Queen were brilliant, and I have not even begun to see most of the videos yet. I am just floored by the whole band, by the way the Queen fans are getting it immediately, once they see it live. I have to say, it shows that Freddie paved the path that Adam is now walking on, because the appreciation for the camp and playful presentation of rock music is just there in this audience. They may be critical of Adam before they see it, because they don't trust that anyone can deliver, but they sure come around fast when they get the show where the ingredients are mixed just right.
I remember tons of debates during GNT, where certain commentators or other folks were just not getting Adam. This audience appreciated Adam the moment they understood that he can truly 'SANG' and that he was giving them the performance on top of it.
Adam has arrived.....what a wonderful day to be a Adam fan and seeing Roger and Brian so happy just melts my heart too.
ETA: Adam DID take care of his vocals today, I presume in anticipation that he has to do it twice in a row. Many high notes spared, and yet, what a success this ended up being. Adam has so many cards he can play, if he cannot play the high notes (on a first night of multiple sequential ones), then he plays other cards, and its still the best performance from the best vocalist and frontman of today. Fucking unbelievable!

The homeplanet - Chunkey's siteRecap Just back from the concert and OMGWe just got back from the Queen concert and it was AMAZING!!!….. but that seems like such an inadequate word. The energy in the house was unbelievable and the audience definitely gave back as much as they were getting. We were sitting up in the balcony, but down towards the front. Adam’s family (Eber, Neil, Leila, Sauli, Danielle) were all sitting 2 sections over from us and they stood almost the entire time, singing along and cheering with everyone else. I was trying not to be too much of a creeper and only sneak a few glances, but it was so sweet to see Eber beaming with pride when Brian said they wanted to thank Adam Lambert for being with them, or Neil tapping his hand against his chest with his head bent back during one of the slower, emotional numbers. Simply AMAZING. Sauli was smiling quite a bit and chatting with Leila. Some people were approaching them after the show but we steered clear. I didn’t want to risk the wrath of Neil! haha (or my seatmates calling me cray) Chunkey and I sat together and we were swaying our arms to “WeAre The Champions” and laughing at all the crazy, ridiculous stuff like Brian in his poncho, Adam in his Elmo jacket, and how awesome that Queen t-shirt he wears looks in person. Pictures don’t do it justice; the sparkles in that shirt give off bright rainbow shine!! I’m sure you’ve seen pictures by now and maybe even some of the videos are starting to come in (TALC and Suz were both there filming, and others as well). Heck, even some of the staff members who told people not to video were taking videos themselves!!! LOL There were definitely Queen fans there who were blown away by Adam and I could hear them talking outside the venue afterwards just raving about him. SO AWESOME. I can’t wait to watch videos and relive it, and share some of my pictures, but sadly I have to get up tomorrow to fly home so hopefully others will share the goodies and I’ll come back to add mine sometime in the next day or two. Brian was sweet; he chatted with the audience a lot, giving props to Adam, and telling jokes. He mentioned language differences, and how when they’re in London he wasn’t quite sure what to say since he’s at home, LOL, but he said you can often get by almost anywhere with the word, “Nostrovia!” which I remember Adam using quite a bit in the Moscow concert last summer. Most of all Adam just seemed so happy to be there (duh!) and smiling his heart out, dancing, laughing, and having fun with Brian. We almost got a back lean tonight! And although I’ve babbled on here, there really are no words to say how incredible that concert was and how much I hope we get to see him on stage again with them in the future because it’s not to be missed.

@remavineyard @markgilroymusic LUCKY LUCKY MAN!!! Have you seen @adamlambert sing live before?
Mark Gilroy Music @markgilroymusic @remavineyard Nope- not in the flesh. No recording or YouTube does it justice!! ________________________________________________
@kieraalouise @markgilroymusic yeah I know, obviously the other members should still play but having adam sing freddie's lyrics doesn't seem right to me.
Mark Gilroy Music @markgilroymusic @kieraalouise Fair enough. I would recommend you go watch the shows though- it’s not a tribute act or in any way an imitation of Fredie.
