Interesting news. However, both Brian and Roger have been so supportive of Adam and his solo career that I think it's more likely they will release a DVD then not. JMOTrue in that they are supportive but they are also pretty meticulous about their own releases. So if there are a lot of little "trainwrecks" like in Kiev chances will go down substantially. Ya...we had to wait quite a bit (but not years as you had ;D) for the GNT DVD... Adam was "perfecting" it... so, we are familiar with the "must be perfect" attitude.... In this case, the release has nothing to do with Adam and is completely in Q's hands, so your experience and historical perspective is very valuable. Thank you for sharing, Talon. |

So, Radio 1 will now add the song and give it more than that 5 spin a week thing that Carrie got? I guess that's what I don't understand. Does this guarantee that NCOE gets some good spins from somewhere other than Capital? I'm not trying to be difficult But the amount of time, money, and emotion involved in this whole thing has been huge. Does this get him quality spins now (because, as we've seen any station can add...) and---so excited for all the lucky people who are in the UK for this concert tonight!!!! No, of course it does not GUARANTEE that Radio 1 will add. Pretty much nothing GUARANTEES that Radio 1 will add LOL unless we can take over the body of the musical director who makes these decisions. If you know some voodoo, let me know. ;D All it does, it gives Adam a better *fighting chance.* And for us, as fans, with our limited power and access, it is the best we can do. But it's still pretty darn good if you ask me, much better than what American radio allows us to do as fans. At least here there was a direct link: if NCOE is high up on the chart, BBC Radio 1 will have to play it as part of the countdown. Then, if enough casual listeners like it, and it continues staying high on the chart, and the stars align, Radio 1 might, just might add. Of course it's not a guarantee, but NCOE charting high is a pre-requisite for it. In other words, let's put it this way: if it does *not* chart high, then it is a guarantee that Radio 1 will *not* add. |
