I have to get ready for today's sightseeing and tonight's ... hmmm ... what shall I do tonight? But for all you science geeks out there, I heard my first Higgs Boson joke yesterday and it was at a Queenbert concert. LOL. Of course it was Dr. Brian May, rocker extraordinaire and astrophysicist. I don't remember the exact words because it was kind of loud up in there and it took me a minute to realize he was telling a joke but it went something like this ... Higgs Boson knocked on the door of the cathedral and the priest would not let him in, telling Higgs firmly that this was a church and not a laboratory. Higgs Boson knocked again and said but if you don't let me in you will not be able to have mass. Ta da dum. I laughed my ass off because it is funny and it was so unexpected. OK off to Harrod's. I think I had better leave my credit card in the room.

The vids I posted are from riddle601b, who I don't know at all. They were shot a few rows from the side, right in the crowd and give a feeling of being there - God I wish I'd been there . Sometimes though, just like at a concert the flailing arms get in the way ;D, but you get really good closeups of Adam. They're a good balance to Suz's ones, which are spectacular as always.

I saw a few of riddles but they make me sea sick so can't watch much of them... a few snatches are ok.

I am sitting here on a train heading to York and I am processing the epic ness of yesterday. I am bemused and a little amazed that I have had the opportunity to witness the magic of the Queen + Adam Lambert concert. I am feeling so blessed.
Yesterday, I went to feel the power of Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, and Avesbury, but although each touched me, nothing was as magically wondrous as the joy of the concert. I wasn't prepared and I was so in the moment that besides grinning like a loon the whole concert, I'm sure that I was the annoying one in the balcony that wouldn't sit down. I couldn't. The rightness of the moment and music swept me up in a tide of joy and sitting down where I couldn't freely move would have felt sacriligious.
I had been prepared by Tillyfilly that the British Queen fans wouldn't get all emotional. While there were some in the balcony that were a bit aloof, even the people sitting down and die hard Freddie/Queen fans were singing, clapping and waving and totally focused on the overwhelming epic ness of the performances by Adam, Roger, Brian and the rest of the band. When Adam was singing the "möbius strip" of energy that mika so eloquently described was palpable. You could almost touch the flow. Despite the caution, it became a complete love fest of music with an almost perfect synergy of joy. I had gone to three amazing places of worship that day and here I was back at church and I wasn't the only one feeling the power of the music!
After the concert, I was hearing bits and pieces of the conversations all were positive and glowing. I have to go and hopefully this recap is understandable, but it was amazing and I simply wanted to share.
With much love to all - mmmgoodcracker

Not sure if this was already posted. Lyndsey parker's review: ca.music.yahoo.com/blogs/reality-rocks/queen-adam-lambert-rock-london-queenbert-concert-094922439.htmlQueen + Adam Lambert Rock London With “Queenbert” Concert In July 2012, London history was made. An epic event like none other took over the city, with fanatics from around the globe journeying to the U.K. to witness a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle--so that one day they could boast to their grandchildren that they were there, in London, up in the bleachers, watching it all go down. Oh, yeah--and the 2012 Summer Olympics happened in London in July, too. Adam Lambert with Queen's Brian May in LondonI kid, I kid. But seriously, folks, the three-night London concert residency by "Queenbert"--aka Britrock legends Queen with special guest Adam Lambert--was an undeniably major occasion, and it was a vocal Olympics of sorts, too. (Adam is the champion, my friends.)
