Well, I was ready to eat my own words from this morning if tonight sucked.
Not only am I not going to eat them, but I'll serve them again on a silver platter, decorations and basil and all that grass on top.
Isn't Simon Fuller someone important in AI and what was he doing at the show?

Sorry, but any blogger defending Randy as a judge is on his payroll or a family member. The guy is useless, even when he's comprehensible. (I should temper that by saying that I haven't watched AI since Season 8 and I suppose it's entirely possible that by comparison to Tyler and JHow? he's started to sound like the sane judge.) No, you're right. Idol fans pretty much can't stand Randy and would him to be the first judge gone. It is long overdue! |

Last night the power dynamic tipped in favor of the audience in terms of energy, love, welcome flowing toward the stage and synchronized responses while our more effervescent, brilliant, humble rock ingenue took the stage. Tonight our impish dark prince of the glam tribe strode onto the stage and immediately took control like a higher being on a sugar high. (which is all fun until someone's leather pants get torn  ). As you could see, he was all over the place - Adam was emanating sheer energy and charisma and power vocals like a super nova. I'm curious if some are critical of the slight frenetic quality - and assume not everyone will be a fan of that run at the end of WATC. Me - I loved it all! ('If these spirits have offended, think but this and all is mended... ' (Sound was better from early on too.) Oh, and haven't seen the thread so don't know if the pics have appeared but Tommy and Sauli were snuggling, cuddling in the lobby when I left. I fled again - that can only lead to fan riots... |
