I didn't think Paul was a copy of Adam at all. It was a completely different version--not at all like Adam's. It's an extremely well-known song, so I'm not surprised it was sung again. I thought James sounded very good. His voice was under control, had a nice vibrato on some of the longer notes, and worked the stage pretty well. He even thanked all the musicians on stage with him (that must be getting contagious ). I agree, not a copy of Adam at all - far, far from it. I was judging Paul's rendition on how it much it deviated from Smokey's version and how much I was feeling the arrangement or Paul's vibe. I did not enjoy it as much as his other stuff.

AWESOME JOB WITH CHARITY:WATER!!!! YOU ALL ROCK!!!!Paul's performance review with Adam reference: content.usatoday.com/communities/idolchatter/post/2011/03/paul-mcdonalds-smile-doesnt-look-out-of-place/1" Motown is good times," says Paul McDonald. So tonight, he's bringing out his guitar and singing Smokey Robinson & the Miracles The Tracks of My Tears. "I can't sing it like Smokey, so we turned into a vibe that's more my style." Which means it'll get more of a folk-rock treatment. The guitar actually helps ground Paul, keeping him near the mic and its stand. This song, of course, has had a definitive Idol performance courtesy of Adam Lambert. Paul's, naturally, is completely different -- more like what Rod Stewart used to do with old R&B tunes. You've got to buy into Paul's voice to appreciate it, but, if you do that, it's a pretty solid performance."

Two awesome videos from Mika for us today, so totally cool :D! I smiled, and felt loved through both of them :D Do rest up, grab a refreshment, I believe I have the ALMOST perfect way to entice Adam into our home/lair. Well, "almost" is the operative word here, plan would include Sauli and whether he would willingly get into the black van without windows to be driven to our Love Shack or if he would have to be snatched : Having Adam and Sauli over for dinner and not having to go to jail at the end of the evening is the gray area that needs to be worked out.

Just a reminder -- if you want to comment on AI10, there is a thread for Idol comments in Members only. I deleted a few comments that had nothing to do with Adam. I left the comments about Paul because that is related to Adam news.
You guys rock!! I have never been prouder to be part of a community before than I feel right now.[/size]
