The VERY eclectic line up for the Olympic closing ceremony (meanwhile those preparing to open the Games are already in need of a lie-down) By KATIE NICHOLL PUBLISHED: 17:02 EST, 14 July 2012 | UPDATED: 17:50 EST, 14 July 2012 Expected highlights will include live performances by Queen, Take That, Annie Lennox, George Michael, Ray Davies, The Pet Shop Boys and Madness. ... more When the Victory Ceremony comes to a close there is due to be a sudden blackout followed by the opening chords of Bohemian Rhapsody. Also due to be part of the show is a tribute to John Lennon, with footage of the late Beatle talking being screened in the stadium. According to the latest running order, the acts appearing near the finale are Take That, who are due to sing Rule The World, and Queen, who will perform We Will Rock You with Jessie J. The band’s late lead singer Freddie Mercury will appear as a projection. ...more He added: ‘We want to create a fabulous emotional experience, something people remember for years to come. It will be an elegant mash-up of British music. The show is still being finalised, and London 2012 organisers stressed the set list was subject to change. A spokesman said: ‘Up until closer to the time it is just a line-up. This list is just speculation, there may well still be changes, even at this stage.’

The band’s late lead singer Freddie Mercury will appear as a projection. So, this looks like confirmation that Adam won't be performing at the Olympics with Queen. Not really surprised. I'll settle for a Queen + AL show in the U.S. at some point in the near future. ;D
