Ya know... I was just thinking what a joy it must be for DrBrian and Roger to work with someone like Adam.
1) Toss him a list of 20 songs to memorize.
2) Rehearse off and on for one week in a room somewhere in London.
3) Set him loose on a massive stage in front of a gazillion people and say "HAVE AT IT!!!"
4) Stand back and watch the magic happen.

No 4) needs some additions: - dive in and let loose - get into the music like you could not for 20 years - get challenged by a kid who dances circles around you but still respects you - be ON STAGE and PERFORM like it matters - be revered by a surprising peer - be valued once more for your contributions but also what you do now |

A few random head-bangin' thoughts from night 2.
1. A couple of extremely personable and cute gay guys and their moms sat in front of us night 2. Mom and daughter from north Jersey sat next to us and joined in conversation with guys. One had a Tommy haircut--they love, love, love Adam. He's theirs, and leaves them starstruck--they saw GNT and saved up for this. Look up enthralled, you will find them. They heard Adam was in the VIP bar and ran up to gaze at him. One astutely observed that Adam wasn't "on" yet, so he was powerful, but seemed smaller to them than when he is onstage,
2. Once Adam jumped into the crowd and walked around slapping hands with fervent fans, he got to the side of the stage, and you could read his body language, " now, what do I do, there are no steps!" the security stage hand helped him back up on stage, but it was less than graceful, and that is when we had pants rippage. They actually kind of lifted shoved him back up. Too bad they didn't ask for volunteers to help, but due to the flame, CO2 area, there was a buffer zone only occupied by techs and security.
3. You know that grin you get on your face when watching Adam? The one after watching Vids and your cheeks hurt? That is Sauli watching Adam perform. He occasionally shakes his head and laughs out loud. He enjoyed show with his sisters. At one point, he wanted to leave and was blocked in (it was during it's a kind of magic), and he was standing by the back rail. He lifted himself up and balanced like a surfer or tight-rope walker on top of the rail for several seconds, showing off for his sisters, and then gathered himself and jumped gracefully to the ground with his head thrown back laughing. Those boys must have a lot of fun, j/s.
4. There's nothing better than the group clap in Radio Gaga. The first time I saw it at Live-aid on you-tube, I said, if I ever had the chance... Now I have twice, and it is invigorating provides palpable joy!!!
