For those of us sublimating at home, it's been fun capturing and berting over the images, videos and stories of this epic Queen+Adam series. We are so lucky to live in this age of connected communities!www.capitalfm.com/artists/lawson/news/queen-adam-lambert/Lawson Hail Queen And Adam Lambert's London Concert As "Unbelievable" - Video15th July 2012, 13:27 The 'Taking Over Me' four-piece say the UK concert was the best gig they have been to. Lawson have hailed Adam Lambert and Queen's live performance in London last night as "unbelievable" and the "best gig" they have ever seen. The 'Never Close Our Eyes' singer joined legendary rock band Queen this weekend for a series of shows in the UK capital, and 'When She Was Mine' four-piece Lawson got to watch them perform live at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo yesterday (14th July). "Adam Lambert and Queen at the hammersmith apollo. His voice is unbelievable," Lawson singer Andy Brown tweeted on Saturday. "That was the best thing I've ever seen! #Queen&AdamLambert." "Watching Queen at hammersmith. Already the best gig ever," bassist Ryan Fletcher also posted. "Queen live with Adam Lambert singing is the best thing I've ever seen. ... more

I don't see anybody post this review. This is from a long time Queen fans: Queen + Adam Lambert, Hammersmith Apollo, London By Keith Blakemore-Noble – July 12, 2012Which just leaves the major question. How was Adam? Wow! His voice is absolutely stunning, no other way to describe it. He has considerable power and a huge vocal range - that guy can SING. He did justice to all the songs, making very good work of the entire selection of songs. He did not try to imitate Freddie, he did not try to pretend to be Freddie. He was clearly his own man, performing the songs in his own style, but in keeping with the overall feel of Queen. He brought a lot of youthful playfulness as well to the show. My only criticism was that he was not as 'dynamic' as one might have liked.
However, it is important to remember that we are talking about someone with very limited live experience - if we are going to make the tedious inevitable comparisons with Freddie, then let's remember that Adam has been in the music business for only 3 years; when Freddie had been in the music business for 3 years, Queen had not even released their first album yet (that would be a year later). Of course Adam doesn't compare in terms of stage presence with Freddie of the mid 1980's, but then again neither would the Freddie with 3 years experience. I believe that with appropriate training and apprenticing, Adam could go on to develop quite the stage presence, he just needs the experience. He certainly managed to work the crowd well, everyone seeming to thoroughly enjoy themselves; certainly the people I spoke to afterwords were very happy to have been there. At one stage in the show, Brian said of Adam 'What do you think? He's a keeper, isn't he?' - very much so! I certainly hope that more grows out of this short collaboration - a full proper tour and an album or two over time would be extremely interesting. [/blockquote] www.blakemore-noble.net/gigs/queen-adam-lambert-hammersmith-apollo-london/I especially like when he's talking about Adam and Freddie. Very realistic observations and very true. If you like it, please give his blog a lot of hits.
While I do not disagree with the general viewpoint of his comments, I do wonder what "appropriate training and apprenticing" means and it had me rolling my eyes a bit. Sure Adam will get better as he performs live and we have seen him grow so much during the GNT and even over the 6 dates of this mini tour but the phrase "appropriate training and apprenticing" seems a bit over the top and old school to me.
I think appropriate training and apprenticing in his opinion and like he said Adam has only been 3 years in music business (not musical theater) as Adam has more experiences ... doing more concerts with Queen and by himself.. he can learn more from Brian & Roger and from these experiences. I'm pretty sure he has learned a ton of things from these 6 concerts. We think he's amazing now, in few years he's going to even.. more amazing than he's now, not only his voice is going more mature but also more jaws will be on the floor whenever he has his own concerts. I know I'm going to get pile on for this.. but whatever... For once or twice we get this good review from a long time Queen fans instead of dissing and bashing... so I'm happy. We can read what they think of Adam and actually impressed by him.. so I'm happy. And this blog also brought to the Queen forum, and I'm happy also so they can read that more Queen fans have embrased this collaborations.

I am not going to pile on in any way but I am not coming at this in terms of a good or bad review, I am questioning where the author images Adam is going to go to get this "appropriate training and apprenticing". Yes, I agree he will continue to grow as performer and that there is room to develop his wonderful talent but for me the phrase is interesting and funny.
