OK, I HAVE A QUESTION!!! This epic Brian/Adam moment was from London #2, right? Could everyone in the audience see this happening? Was it clearly visible from all angles??
This moment was fucking awsome!!! I was in section 4, row S, reaally far back but it was very noticable. Because it was so very well staged, with the rythm of the song/walking, and because the day before he went a different route it was immedeately clear there was something to be noticed. Live it was even more pronounced I think, because the slight pause before Brian took Adams arm was not noticable, it was very fluent and generic. I immedately laughed out loud, I am sure the poor Queen fan beside me still thinks Adam fans are deranged. Because Adam was so on fire and so very funny throughout the whole concert I kept laughing out lout "out of context". ETA: Posted first, rewatched later: I could not find the "slight pause" I remembered from some vids again. Seems it was as easy and organic as I remember from the live show. It was soooo fucking great fun!

I was listening to 'Map' on my newly arrived UK TP in the car when I had a revelation. So I rushed home to check the lyrics (as you do). It needs a one word lyrics tweak. The line 'Now I'm laying beside you' could be changed to 'Kneeling beside you'. And then people you have a Number 1 hit on Christian radio!!!! Wow, so weird! I just tweetd about this recently! I noticed about the 2nd or 3rd time I listened and zeroed in on "believe" "light" "path" and said, OMG! If the word 'laying' wasn't in this song it'd be a Christian inspirational song! :4OMG:

The Queen Rocks Tee-shirt might be from here:www.thegreatchinawall.com/But Adam has had it for at least 3 years, so I think it's unlikely that the shirt would still be available. ETA: More info on Great Wall of China clothing: "The Great China Wall is the most luxurious casual wear that money can buy! The garments feature swarski crystal, leather detailing, air brush, and hand embroidery. Each piece is something special and unique, retailed from $30.00 to $2500.00 a piece." newyork.craigslist.org/stn/clo/3143326289.html

Sorry right now I want Adam to concentrate on his own music.. I'M A FIRM BELIEVER IN BOTH!!! Yeppers! Adam has concentrated on his own music for over two years now and still run up against the roadblock known as Top 40 radio. I'm for anything that gets him more attention and therefore makes it more likely that he will get played. Idol gig, Queen tour, you name it. To my mind, the reluctance of radio to play his music is his biggest obstacle, and while there is no guarantee things would change with these new ventures, I say they're worth a shot.

First, I want to thank everyone again for bringing over all the Queenbert concert vids, pics etc. It meant a great deal to me as I had to cancel London at the last minute due to an ear infection. NOT asking for sympathy. One never knows how important a post might be to someone else and the wonderful feast of information made me feel very much a part of Kiev, Moscow, Poland, and London. I want to acknowledge this to anyone who might ever feel that their 'little' recap or post might not be huge to another person. Thanks again!! I find myself utterly fascinated by Queen. Now that I have heard what songs in their catalog they chose to perform with Adam, I went back and viewed with new eyes the BBC documentary of Queen done awhile back. I was not a Queen fan 'back in the day'..I had other musical tastes. I only knew the songs that were ultra popular in the US. The documentary was so informative..John Deacon's role, for instance. He was behind some of Queen's biggest hits. 'Another One Bites the Dust' sold more than any other single but almost didn't make the album cut. Brian May contracted hepatitis during their first US tour and had to be flown back to the UK. Freddie was getting a lot of pressure to cut 'BoRap' to make it radio user-friendly..he said..'fuck it..they'll play it or they won't'..and refused to budge. So many vignettes about the emotional atmosphere occurring around the time of certain album productions. Fascinating two hours. I was rapt again. How this ties into Adam is that he, as well, is not mainstream. Some of Queen's attempts to be more mainstream were disasters. But they kept on creating. Adam is flying solo which has to be most difficult since you don't have a constant 'team' writing and producing with you. Egos in a team can also cause difficulties as Queen noted very openly. Where this is going is that Queen needed radio as well. They needed to sell to produce and the going wasn't always good. That is why I think the time that Adam and Queen spent together was invaluable for Adam particularly as he was 'inducted' into the inner circle. No doubt hearing many stories and getting some advice when asked. And encouragement. I have no desire to get into radio bashing with this post. I do share what I see is a Queen reflection in Adam. He mirrors their circumstance in many ways..and Adam will continue to record, one way or another. I want to see Adam be Adam. I truly believe at some point, like Queen, Adam WILL break through and break through BIG. As long as he has the fire and desire.

Oh. So "kneeling" makes it Christian. See...my mind went completely somewhere else. ;D
