Thank you butterfly! I had exactly the same reaction when I saw him in the jacket - it was so unexpected and fun and beautiful! It made me happy. I think Adam had the same reaction when he saw it at the Blonds show. Don't know how to move the pic, but it's on July 8 thread, page 4. The wheels were turning..... ;D

Thank you notes for gifts are appropriate. Thank you notes for playing a song? really not appropriate and actually kind of silly. Can you imagine how much junk mail a radio station would get if they got a thank you for everytime they played a song? Since you originally commented on my post... I said TWEET/TEXT while the song is played.I ment something like "OMG!!!Adam Lambert!!! love this song!! thank you!!!". Didn't mean you should write a note and mail it with a pie you baked. I realize that you were referring to tweeting/texting and I wasn't the person who turned it into a licked, stamped and mailed thank you note with unicorn stickers and hearts drawn on it LOL. Tweeting OMG Adam Lambert I love this song thanks for playing isn't a bad idea but again, I don't think teens do that mainly because I don't think teens actually listen to the radio that much anymore

WOOT!!![grins embarrassedly] Is this yet another "must-see" show I don't watch? Is it any good? I just had to post about this. All I know is my 14yo daughter and her friends are obsessed with this show. When they aren't talking about One Direction : , they're talking about Pretty Little Liars! Haven't watched much myself but I do know the mystery person is called "A". :D PLL is HUGE with young girls and even college age girls! My DDs sorority had viewing parties planned around certain episodes and the Halloween episode was one of them. DMG did a good job with this one!!

Since it was borrowed I wonder whose idea it was; his or the Blonds? Whichever, it was brilliant!

For example: This is a series of tweets Tommy sent this morning (read bottom up): RespectTheGB þ@RespectTheGB @tommymcfly @947freshfm @adamlambert Thank you Tommy. Nothing like Never Close Our Eyes with my coffee #WarningSetCupDownFirstThough Retweeted by Tommy McFLY Tommy McFLY þ@TommyMcFLY GOOD MORNIN' #GLAMBERTS -- Never Close Our Eyes in 2 minutes @947freshfm @adamlambert I'm not familiar with that station...is that a HAC or top 40 station? 94.7 = Tommy McFly = DC HAC 99.5 = Toby Knapp = DC Top 40 Tommy's really young for a DJ but gets a total (yet respectful) kick out of Adam's fanbase. Wouldn't do the same sort of stuff with Toby Knapp as with Tommy. Different stations, different demographics, different personalities. #whyyaneedtoknowyerlocalstations

I still don't understand the negativity about perceived fan age, "non-organic" buying campaigns, etc. A fan is a fan, support is support, money is money. There is nothing usual about Adam--his voice, his career trajectory, his fan base--and I refuse to dismiss anyone who supports him in any way they choose. perceived fan age is a big deal, especially to radio stations who are targeting younger listeners. When they hold a contest to M&G with Adam and 90% of the responses are people outside their demographics it doesn't exactly encourage them to continue playing Adam. Non-organic buying campaigns don't really make a big impact saleswise but the perception that Adam needs the false padding to make it appear that he's more popular/successful than he is is counter-productive IMO and people brag about buying and buying and buying and buying. Outside the bubble no one might notice but non-bubble news organizations pick up anything and everything about Adam and all it would take is one of the idol bloggers to do a piece on the fan push to buy multiples and it could effectively sour all that Adam has accomplished and be labeled false success. I agree a fan is a fan and money is money but age and buying campaigns have turned other AI alum into industry jokes and those people now have zero credibility and zero presense on radio and I'd hate for Adam to end up that way too. for example: I think if the same fans wouldn't always go for the M&G passes new fans would get them and then we'd have a better idea of what Adam's fanbase is comprised of. As it stands, it's the same core group of fans who have the means and the times to travel to wherever he is so it makes it appear that they are the only fans who are interested since they are the only ones who keep showing up. All of this is of course just my opinion and not intended to try to make anyone feel they are doing something wrong. I personally don't multiple buy anyone's CD nor do I enter contests to win M&Gs since I've met him once already and I'd hate to take someone else's opportunity away from them. These buying campaigns happens in almost every fanbase

Tweeting OMG Adam Lambert I love this song thanks for playing isn't a bad idea but again, I don't think teens do that mainly because I don't think teens actually listen to the radio that much anymore But I thought the young people are radio's demographic . Just giving you a hard time . I still stand by my statement that Adam is unusual in an industry that the "usual" way of doing things is dying. I believe that Adam is a part of the new music industry--he just want's it all--even stale old radio. He's competitive like that
