You may be onto something, Bridgeymah. I have always had a "No way!" attitude toward releasing a ballad; that radio simply wouldn't play it. But, basically, at this point, I have given up trying to figure out just what CHR will play. It is full of contradictions. Chicago's KISS station, WKSC, playing Adele every hour??? Or Gotye? If Adam's management (or RCA) could just get some kind of vehicle (movie or commercial) to launch a ballad, who knows what could happen. Or, they need to work on finding a collaboration. I have been hearing that Gym Class Heroes song "Fighter" a lot lately, and each time I think how it should be Adam singing the hook instead of Ryan Tedder. Something like that would have been perfect. Wish/hope Outlaws of Love get released as the ballad. That song is stunning and when people hear it - it get favorable feedback:-) |
