Hi! I've been away most of the day and see we will be getting a new single soon!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it's going to be Cuckoo so I'm bringing out my straight jacket smilie! All it needs is a little glitter thrown on it! ;D  |

I'm so happy Adam will start his Idol judging on the heels of a hit song! . . . That's my dream! :D Don't do that to us poor folk who have had attend to RL all day and just come to the end of the thread! But Yay! for new single! :Clap: My faves are also Runnin', Broken English, Nirvana, and Kickin' In, so I don't really care what it is, as long as it's upbeat and reflects AL! And I love your dream misha!  |

New Single!!! So exciting! I think all the signs point to it being Cuckoo which is a great choice! I also really think that Adam has the Idol judge gig. Well here is something to mull over. I bought the deluxe edition of Trespassing from HMV and on the CD is a Sticker on the cellophane that reads. The New Album features "Never Close Our Eyes" "Trespassing" "Cuckoo" & "Better Than I Know Myself"... hmmmm. :  : so two of those are singles released  and the other two.... well I think its a 50/50 chance for either Trespassing or Cuckoo now. I am trying to post a pic but of course the writing is transposed (mirrored). Attachments:

I'm so happy Adam will start his Idol judging on the heels of a hit song! Early in the season, American Idol should do a Nile Rodgers week. There are so many great songs that Nile has been involved with from which the contestants can choose. Nile can mentor; he would love that. And then Adam, Nile, and Sam can perform "Shady" that week on the show! And then at the end of the season Adam can perform and launch "Naked Love" (or maybe "Pop That Lock" or "Kickin' In") for the summer. (I'd seriously lose my mind if they ever decided to release "Kickin' In'" because it's in a three-way tie with "Broken English" and "Nirvana" for my favorite song on the album--although all of the songs on the CD run pretty much neck-and-neck for that spot.) And then a slower song for the fall ("Chokehold" or "Broken English"), and so on . . . That's my dream! Have I missed a zillion pieces of news by foolishly attending to RL or is this all just wishful thinking at this point? I guess technically you'd have to characterize it as wishful thinking since nothing's been officially announced yet regarding American Idol. But Adam did tweet that he would announce his next single "soon"--in a week or so. When Idol reported that Mariah Carey would be a judge, she announced the title of her upcoming single at the same time. Seems reasonable that Adam would do the same and take advantage of the Idol spotlight to release his new single. Adam tweeted that he was headed home for a "much needed week off." When Idol announced Mariah would be a judge I think(?) there was something said about revealing the remainder of the panel in the next couple of weeks, which would be the week after Adam's "week off." The timing works. And his interview with the radio station last weekend plus the Popledge/Shoshanna tweets and Dean Piper's comments kinda sealed the deal for me. I BELIEVE. ETA: LOL, junkets, I'm putting it out into the Universe. |

I hope with all my might that the next single is "Cuckoo," and I believe it will be. It's obviously between "Trespassing" and "Cuckoo," and based on the tweets/reports from the PLL set from the actors/crew who had the lyrics stuck in their head it sounds like "Cuckoo" is the song Adam did multiple takes of with the band, so it seems like it will be the one featured in performance, and that perhaps "Trespassing" will be used as a background song. "Cuckoo" is the song that I'd hoped would follow BTIKM and felt would bust down doors for him, so I'm thrilled it's finally getting its shot. I think it was probably promised to Adam early on (after they went with the Bruno song) that "Cuckoo" would eventually be released, but now with the Idol gig it will thankfully get the full promo it deserves. Every time I get to the 8-second mark on "Cuckoo" everything in me still screams "that's the one!" Undeniable hit. It's one of the most accessible songs on the album and just has that "it" factor. I'm in the camp of make the next single ANYTHING Adam has a part of writing on the album. For heaven's sake! It's his time to shine! Look how patient he's been! I wonder if he's known from the beginning that it was "OK, RCA - - - put the songs out there you think are radio-friendly. I'll do your bidding . . . and then it will be MY TURN" . . . Thank you for the birthday wishes today. One year ago this evening, this very evening, I heard Adam sing 'Outlaws of Love' at St. Agathe!! Hours later, I huddled around an iPad with other Atopians at the bar, where we watched the video, over and over . . . memorizing the words, the emotion. I'll always remember that unity and how we were in awe. And, now, here we are. Amazeballs!!! Adam Fucking Lambert!! You, with the perfect nose!!! |

I see from a post back in the thread that there is another version of the London 7-12 Adam/Queen concert but it hasn't been converted to mp3 yet. That's the one I'm waiting to get to complete them all. I should really learn how to do the converting. But I'm not very good at it. It would be my luck to download a converter and not be able to do any converting. : |
