My Spenser asked: Nothing has changed in the past week, why would you say that? I angst very easily and hence I like to spend time at the Dark Side which was created to give someone like me a place to worry without bringing others down. But things have changed a little in the past week in that Brad Paisley looks likely to be one of the judges, and one of the Jonas Brothers is being vented and would represent the youthful, pop demographic that Adam would have represented. I have no doubt, that Adam would be the best judge possible for the show but don't know if Idol is brave enough to give him the slot even though they probably know how great he would be too. The Jonas brother is so not in right now. He doesn't represent anything about Pop right now. That person would be Adam, not a Jonas brother! And Brad Paisley does not mean "No Adam." I have thought all along that there would be a country judge. That doesn't exclude Adam. The thing is, I think Randy is out or they are going to 4 judges. Either way, whether Adam gets it or not, he will be fine. He's got too many things going to let one thing bring him down. I so agree with the highlighted statement - Plus the Jonas brother and his wife are starting a reality show, so I doubt he'd have time for both...plus, who is he ??? - I mean is he famous now ???

I know nothing about Kris' music but my friend, the difference lies here---"NAL"! LIke in pro sports, each player has his own price tag (no offense to Kris or his fans). #justsaying #itsreality Well, yeah, that's why we are having a third single and he's not getting a second. I'm cautiously optimistic about the label support, but RCA does throw out singles now and then. LOL...see I told you that I knew nothing about NAL and his music, I thought that was his 3rd single from his new album. Yes! Adam has been really happy and giddy lately, whatever it is, something promising and delicious are on our way......waiting with bated breath.

I have read speculation on general idol fan sites, but have not seen anything definitive.

I was talking over all of this AI stuff with my husband, who recently hasn't had much of a day go by without an Adam discussion, lol. My husband has been in the film industry for over 25 years, and so we deal with the roller coaster of the entertainment industry as a part of our lives. His immediate non-stan reaction: "If Adam doesn't get AI, he should feel happy that his name is being brought up and bandied about so early on in his career along side of other people who are huge. People thinking and talking about you leads to more people thinking and talking about you. It's all good." He added, "Most people would love to have a career as successful as his is right now." My sons, for example, are two of those kind of people. Adam keeps telling us this is only the beginning, and he seems to really feel that. I believe him and think he can figure out how to make the things he finds interesting and fun keep happening for himself. As long as he is having fun, I feel happy for him, and he is having fun, and clearly wants us to have fun right along with him, lol. Adam is uber talented, charismatic, smart and likeable. Everyone who works with him loves the experience... everyone! He has been in the business for a long time and knows how to make use of opportunities and how to move on from the ones that dont work out. I am patterning my stanning now after the manner it has worked best for me to stan my adult children, lol. I am putting aside my own agendas that life be perfect for them and am enjoying instead how perfect the moments of my life are when I am with them. That works much better for us both. And hey, those shared moments are so very, very sweet! Well, I have nothing to add to this post, I just wanted to look at it and admire it for awhile.

MySpenser50 -- just a few comments because I think we agree on a lot.
On the first two singles being the most "radio friendly" HAC songs -- perhaps. I always thought Cuckoo is the best single on the album and Broken English is the best HAC/AC track on the album. But I am "just" a fan.
I cannot explain or justify RCA's single selections. My theory is that they wanted to reclaim more of his old Idol fans and think they are the people who bought WWFM. I think that is two different groups of people. But they have never publicly said this.
On "Moves Like Jagger" according to Wiki -- ""Moves like Jagger" is a song by American pop rock band Maroon 5 featuring American pop singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera. It was released as the fourth single for the group's third studio album, Hands All Over (2011)." Same as I pulled from Billboard charts.
Muse is really not that big in the US -- at least compared to how great their music and live show is. Yes, they are huge in the UK and Europe. In the US they played smaller venues, opened for U2 in 2009. and finally did a mini arena tour (19 dates + festivals) in 2010 (7,500 to 16,238 seat arenas -- some major venues, some minor venues). In any case, they are still not played on US radio.
Finally, no way to roll back time and tell what would have happened. What would Mississippi be like if the South won the Civil War? (Rhetorical question. No responses expected.)
ETA: Kris Allen has 1 non-album single NoBo, 3 singles from his first album, 1 so far from his second album.

Adam has a very successful career in an EXTREMELY cutthroat business and I believe whatever is going on is all good. I'm just happy to be along for the ride--and I can't wait to see where it takes him (and us) next! By the way, how many of you think (with me) that Brian May is having dinner at Adam's house before leaving for England? I would bet they are getting together to plan further world domination, er, concerts together.
