We don't know how many days.... Scary  Sauli said the weekend, so my guess is either somewhere within driving distance for a nice weekend (many places in So Cal) Or Mexico which keeps him in the same time zone and is only a short flight. My guess is Mexico. And only for a long weekend because the Idol and/or single announcement is next week! ;D Agree with Q3, "off the grid" just means we won't be hearing from him, not that there is no electricity or communication where he is going. Oh, and Sauli did promise pics or vids next week, so we will eventually know where it was.

I read that tweet a bit differently.
I don't think that Adam is trying to establish a precedence where he now has to inform the fan base when he is gone for 2-3 days. That would be cray-cray and I don't think we should start feeling entitled to that because he will not allow this kind of nutty dependence to happen to the fan relationship.
I think the purpose of the message is to tell us that any rumor floating up to the top might go unanswered and we should not try to read tea leaves or something into that. He can just let them swirl for a few days and it would be considered totally normal.
And let's face it. Adam has a ton of irons in the fire right now, while officially showing a very empty calendar. For me that is the biggest reason why I think that something major IS going to happen. His calender has not been this empty since the end of the 116 GNT concerts.
But there are a ton of possible developments: Bond (interesting Shosh that you tweet that), London Closing Ceremony, AI judging, other TV opportunities and that is before you start looking for additional one off concerts, jingle balls, award show opportunities and things like that.
Rumors could be floating on various topics in the next few days and Adam has just elegantly tweeted himself out of any responsibility to respond. I love it.

Oh, and add me to the list of those that hope he is not found out.
Finally - different topic, did anyone notice today that a cosmetic line called Urban Decay is for sale, but they seem to have difficulty so far finding a buyer.
Wonder whether Adam could help with brand marketing. No selfish motive of course what so ever. Nope. Nada.
