DAY 4 - MOSCOW (Part 1)
Catzmadam
And its FIANNLY fucking Queenbert day *bounce, bounce, bounce*
But first, we have to do some more ummmm...............sightseeing. Uh huh, yup
So today we head off to the Kremlin.... cos once again - we can and it was UNF tbh ;D
Catzmadam
Look what we just found on the way to the Kremlin \o/ twitpic.com/a3blkc
The two following photos are of something that absolutely fascinated me. On many of the large building restorations in progress around Moscow, entire buildings had been covered in a canvas/fabric? shroud type thingy with artwork printed on it depicting what the finished result would look like. It was wonderful, not only aesthetically pleasing, but it hid all the ugly and unsightly construction rubble and gave you something to look forward to. Thumbs up Russia - awesome.
So now we’ve got the *erm* ~pesky sightseeing matter out of the way, we can get down to the
y things.
Right from the very start when the individual concert threads went up in the Members section, it was exciting to follow and see who would be at
your one. There were going to be very few of us at both the Moscow and Poland ones, so it was fun to make meet-ups with the other
bsc souls
silly brave enough to make the long trek. One of those was
momtomany. Her beautiful and poetic posts about Adam over the years and subsequently her Burning Man posts have often moved me to tears and I was determined to meet this sweet soul - but we only had the last half of this day to make it happen. Since she doesn’t ~do twitter :
, we somehow managed to arrange a meeting.
Vesna, JanuarySnow and I left the Kremlin, Red Square area and headed on over to momtomany’s hotel which wasn’t too far away.
We walked into the foyer and once again - everybody recognised everybody
instantly - complete and total strangers from different parts of the globe started squealing loudly and began running to give each other big noisy hugs whilst talking non-stop. Nobody cared about the side-eyeing going on from the other guests..lol
It’s really is such an amazing thing to be a part of. The universal, like minded, kindred spirit vibe in this fandom is a very real thing of joy.
So once we get all the OMG’dings out of the way again
, we wander out to find a restaurant for some lunch. This time it was waaaaay... easier. We all sit down and
never stopped talking for the duration. No awkward ~
moments or odd silences - just yakka, yakka, yakka all the way.
And yes, momtomany is as beautiful outside as she is inside and Mr momtomany is a total doll as well  . He was way cool with this totally focussed on nothing but Adam bunch of #crays
.
All the while our excitement is building because we are only a few hours away from IT!
We regretfully break our wonderful lunch up, but it’s for a good cause... QUEENBERT!
We go back to our respective hotels and mentally prepare.
Vesna and I also did all three Australian GNT shows in 2010 and we discovered after we arrived in Russia that both of us had bought our Eye of Horus transfers (that were left over from those shows) with us. I only had one left, but Ves had two. So we all donned our ‘tat’s’ in honour of this momentous event.
And then it was fianlly time to go - and more importantly, arrive.
Da girls!!!

Two other American fans joined us in this one, but I can not remember their names unfortunately. Put your hand up if you recognise yourself OK.
VERY PROUD KIWI MOMENT
So after a major collective berting/squeeing/flailing session, we headed inside....
To be continued...
