*More and more attention being showered on the judges/hosts/mentors and less on the contestants. Or so it seems. Catz - loved the latest installment! And the "color" only adds to it! Keep em coming! I've been meaning to say this for a long time & keep getting sidetracked: Seoulmate You are a master at gif-ing! The perfect one for every single occasion! They add so much to every post. Thank you for being so clever! * Of course if Adam gets involved as either a judge or a mentor this will be fine! ;D

Can't see the pics You can't see alikat's Smug Mug albums? I can see Alikat's albums, I can't see the pics Holst posted. Holst's description sounded like a perfect shortcut to the ones I'd like to see, since I was too busy/lazy to look through the whole thing. Serves me just right :-[

Just read that winner Phillip Phillips of latest AI has a single out, his corontion song...Home. It was chosen by NBC for a theme song for women's gymnastics. Jumped from 98 to #1 on itunes. Home has been out for three months and was at 88 before the Olympics. It's been at #1 (with a couple of days at #2) for over a week now. I guess it was the right song at the right time. It will be interesting to see if it stays in the top 3 for a month like We are Young did after it was used in a commercial for the Super Bowl.

Wow X-factor going all out... Cowell reportedly wants two hosts, one male and one female. Among the ladies whose names have been mentioned for the role are Miley Cyrus, Khloe Kardashian, Erin Andrews and Kelly Osbourne. Would you like to see Kevin McHale from Glee host ‘X Factor?’ And which female co-host would be his ideal partner? WOW this is becoming a really big ratings war.. LOL .Does bigger mean better?? ... and it is becoming less and less about the contestants... ...ok, so far re Pharrell - I am happy about this rumor, as there will be no two black dudes on the panel, so Randy is out if this is true. now the single: I CAN'T BELIEVE HE WILL BE PROMOTING NCOE IN JAPAN!!! The new one must come out like NOOOWWW!

Speaking of hats, I have a question for all our hair dying experts. You all have said the platinum would be easier to keep up than the black because the roots coming in would be light. But I was pondering this and realized, wouldn't the roots have to be constantly stripped to get that platinum color, whereas with the black, they only had to be touched up with regular dye? I mean in a pinch, on the road, he could use mascara for the black in an emergency! I just had a very interesting convo with my hairdresser who is also a colorist...and loves Adam. She said that going platinum blond from dyed black is a very difficult process. The hair has to be stripped and it can take several times and several processes to get it all out. It is also very hard on the hair and tends to dry it out and cause it to break. Once the hair is stripped, it may take several attempts to get it to the desired color. It can initially be very yellow. IMO, that is why we are not seeing photos (I still stand by my opinion that the one we have seen is a shop job...sort of what Adam thinks it will finally look like). It is still a work in progress. We willl see the real deal in Japan, no doubt. Unless that is why they said NO CAMERAS
