Insiders tell us Idol producers have reached out to a surprising number of potential judges: "Something like 20," according to once source. As previously reported, some of those names include Adam Lambert, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Brad Paisley, Pink and Nick Jonas. Idol has put out a lot of feelers to come up with the right judging mix. It is still not known if original Idol cast member Randy Jackson will return for the new season, and if so, in what capacity (judge or mentor).

He's not saying he's a woman. He's saying that wearing makeup is associated with being a woman, and some people object to men wearing makeup because they see it as a man degrading himself. And if they view it as a man degrading himself, it's because they don't think too highly of women. It's like--you expect the commoner to wish to emulate the king, but you don't expect the king to wish to emulate the commoner. Viewing women as a step down from men is misogyny.Ok. But the first part of the tweet says 'no one gets pissy at Jared Leto for wearing makeup', which I presume Adam also agreed to. So it's not like some people object to all men wearing make up, it's just some men, or in this case Adam. Never mind. I'm hoping for the make-up gun to be set on full stun to go with the platinum hair look, and some outrageous wardrobe styling to entertain the Japanese target demographic. It would be fun if there are no pictures until the complete look is unveiled in Japan, maybe just some standard Adam in cap and sunglasses at the airport, building the tension and keeping the press on edge until the reveal.
When the whole look is finally revealed, let it be full of alien fierceness, stunning everyone and causing a full-blown media meltdown and chaos in the fandom that will last for weeks. Then when Adam returns to the states, his look will be more subdued, maybe even back to black, igniting yet another media firestorm. Everyone can flail about how Adam is full tilt "Cuckoo" and flat out unpredictable.
Has there been any confirmation about whether or not Nigel's contract was renewed for Idol? The silence from Yo Dawg's corner is odd enough, but the silence about Nigel is even more odd, imo.

I don't understand why Adam agreed to this. If Adam gets criticised for wearing make up and he thinks it's misogyny, it's like he is saying he is a woman. I don't get it. Not at all.IMHO I think that often gays are targeted for having a feminine side or appearing to be womanly. So what's wrong with that? To me, it's a form of misogyny. Women aren't worthy of respect,i.e. they are inferior to men..so if a man shows a female side,he is not worthy of respect. There are plenty of rock stars,etc. who wear makeup ,how come no one is complaining about them ?? I saw a great article the other day about a teacher talking to her class about bullying, because a boy was being targeted for wearing pink socks to school. The teacher referenced the past when girls couldn't wear pants because that was only for boys,etc. She gave similar examples and the class seemed to understand, The bullying stopped. Boy education is key... |
