Okay, call me crazy, and I'm sure some will, but it seems to me that the whole purpose of the Twitter party was to debunk that one "new job in September" rumor because it's up to Idol to announce the judging panel and he's not supposed to have said anything that would allude to it. I guess there's no audio from the event? His quote seems so different from what was reported, not even in the same ballpark. As he's made clear today, he's obviously lurking Twitter so he has to know what fans are speculating and how high hopes are. If he doesn't have the job, why wouldn't he just tell us straight out at this point? His name isn't being bandied about in the media much anymore so it's not like he's going to lose press if he confirms that he didn't get the job. In fact, he'd probably get another round of press if he said he didn't get the job. I'll keep believing he got it. Great photo. He is a pretty Pretty Little Liar.

He did not deny it and he avoided all the Idol questions. I am now on the crazy train and staying on it until he says something specific.
