Adam did say he is good at multitasking so he may have Idol and something else in the works so when the time comes he can say he was telling fans about whatever else is in the works. Ellen may be one thing he is planning on introducing his next single. I am going with he did not outright deny it. I think Ellen is a repeat where he sings BTIKM. |

Well, Adam's video just settled a lively debate we had several months ago about whether to wear Trespassing themed clothes to a festival concert, or whether it looked dorky and caused eye rolls from fans of the other bands. Adam likes it; that settles it.
And, I think he looks startlingly gorgeous in that video. Breathtaking.

Like his new tattoo....although I thought he'd get going on making the other arm a sleeve (LOVE sleeve tatts, not a fan of a bunch of willy nilly images).
I'm still hanging on to the Idol job rumour. Won't fall apart if it doesn't happen cuz he obviously has something MAJOR scheduled, but I'll be disappointed for sure.

In looking at his hair, close up, it is really damaged from the processing. His hair before was very vibrant. This looks overprocessed and a little mushy. Trust me I have had some botched jobs in the past and know the look. Don't think this hair color is gonna be around for long. |

Bringing this over from yesterday because I didn't get a chance to respond--nothing earth shattering. I just wanted to say that I think my brother was expressing his awe in hearing Adam sing. He doesn't know all that much about Adam or his vocal training. I was thrilled that he watched Kiev twice. I also think it is just fine to compare musicians. Many people prefer Freddie and think he was the superior singer of the two. Whenever I hear a superiorly trained opera singer perform pop, I usually find it cringeworthy. In that case, the opera singer is not better (to me) because they can't do the style justice. There are many singers with fabulous voices who are not classically/broadway trained or may have just a little training. Similarly, when I see actors in movies, I don't judge them on a sliding scale based on if they have professional training or acting degrees. I just say "x" is a better actor than "y". I don't say "x" has had extensive training so it's not fair to compare with "y". So, yes, enjoy singers/artists for their own merits. But it is a perfectly natural (and valid) human reaction to compare things. One can enjoy the trained and untrained. It's art; it's subjective; it's meant to entertain. Comparisons get made, and it's fine.  |
