Not sure what you're trying to say. I love the band but Adam IS a solo artist. He values a band with chemistry. He likes people that give off good karma. Whoever, he plays with, I am sure will always have that & be important to him. But he is a solo artist and over the course of his career, we will probably see quite a few changes to who backs him. Exhibit A: The UK fill in band. He could do that because he is a solo artist. As opposed to Daughtry, which is a band that records and performs together as "Daughtry." Nope, nothing to do with what you said. I posted at the bottom of page 1 when I first got on today, right after seeing the interview. I got very, very aggravated, my problem, not anyone else's, when a few posts were made about the pick-up band in the UK and how they were better than Adam's band and it didn't matter who was playing behind him, blah blah, blah. It's one of my sore spots, that and when people pick on TJ. No, not a "fan" of TJ, just think some people are very unfair and critical. I've felt from the beginning that no way would Adam have made TJ his guitarist for old times sake or out of gratitude. This TRESPASSING era is too important for that kind of sentimentality. Anyway, I LOVE the band, love the divas, think Isaac is a riot, think Ashley is edgy, gorgeous, and talented, think Brian is good at keeping things going when Adam (inexplicably) disappears for a minute or so, and unabashedly will say that Tommy's adorable and his head banging has always cracked me up. Have no way of judging where TJ is in the ranking of rock guitarists, my instruments are flute, piccolo, and viola, haha, but think he's doing a great job. Nothing deep. But that's not what you said. I agree on everything about this current band. I have always loved and supported Tommy and the divas (and the dancers.) But they are a back up band. During the UK stint, I was one of the first to point out that the reason they sounded so good is because of extensive use of backing track. You specifically said I hope this interview puts to rest all the "he's a solo artist, it doesn't matter who is playing behind him"Adam is a solo artist! That point can never be negotiable until he has a name with the band, the band is under contract with his label, and they are booked as a band. Adam is booked solo. I can tell you, out of the 6000+ people who were at Costa Mesa, probably 5,000 didn't know or give a crap who his band was!

I have to totally disagree with you. Adam IS a SOLO artist. The band is very replaceable. Adam didn't put anything "to rest". He said the same thing when the back up band consisted of Monte, Cam & Longineu. Bands like Queen, The Beatles, Daughtry are different. They write the music too. It's a collaborative effort. Every member of Adam's band is highly disposable. Tommy doesn't sing hasn't written anything and can changed out without a problem. Same with all of them as proven that the entire band is different than the original FYE generarion. With the exception of Tommy. The only reason he's still around is no one else of any fame wants him. Like someone else said it's Adam Lambert under contract. The band are contractors for hire. Each one is highly disposable (as Monte proved out). I can't see one member of his band adding any special value where they can't be changed out with no problem. Musically maybe, and contractually obviously. Mentally not, me thinks. Adam is team player, and it seems to be outmost important for him having right people around him. He has tight relatioship with family, he most often prefers to collaborate with friends, and have more than just working relationship with his band. Thus, changing them is not just terminating a contract and making a new one with someone else.In that sense I think he feels being both solo, but truly also part of the band. He did that few times, first with Lisa and then with LP, the last one was Monte. Adam may keep this current band until he needs to change them or until they cannot work together anymore. The bottom line is the member of this band now are all seasonal musicians. Brian London is working with Adam now but he is also working with Rihanna. If she is on tour, I think he will go with her. I think Issac's also a member of other band and he can have other projects. I'm not sure about Ashley and Tommy. After GNT, Monte kept taking him around on his personal project.

youtu.be/Nftm8-3k-IoI hope this interview puts to rest all the "he's a solo artist, it doesn't matter who is playing behind him" discussions. Every time there is one of those, I bite my tongue with difficulty. Adam has said too many things over the last few years how much he values his band, dancers, etc. Anyway, he didn't leave his feelings open to interpretation this time, he just said it!!! Yay! For me he's a solo artist. And imo for himself too. Valueing his backing musicians doesn't equal being a band. That discussion will never die as long as people don't understand how to separate that. Except maybe for the part at 2:01 in the interview where Adam says,"focus on the music and be a member of a great band." Maybe I should just leave because I hate troublemakers and today that is ME. I'm still housebound from my operation a few weeks ago, so how about I blame it on that and come back when I can be my Pollyanna-ish self..... Haha.

Enrigue Iglesias << out of the rumors we've heard so far. Where did it say so? I also checked his schedule and found he got quite a few tour dates in Sept and early Oct in Europe. They haven't been rescheduled :-)

Audio or video? BTW, love PTL! I repeat about 5 times before I continue on in my album listening! Love Robert Marvin as a producer. Only think I dislike about PTL is the missed opportunity for an amazing dubstep bass drop in the bridge after "GET DOWNNNN" But I looove the bridge as soon as the "werrrrk"s come in 8-) ETA: oooo that version was fierce. I think my favourite was Winstar. My favorite, so far, has been Costa Mesa, because he completes the dacning part. In the successive ones, he cracks himself up and starts laughing and stops! He is so silly!

Oh, just a parting note. I KNOW Adam is a solo artist and he can have a whole different band in a week, my point is that I don't think some people give enough credit and are dismissive of his present band. I should have just said that in the beginning. lol

I think Tommy is a good fit stylistically for this interesting and diverse band. Like Savvy92, I am not enough of a musician, easy piano classics are my speed, to make a judgement about his guitar skills, but if Adam thinks he cuts the muster, it is good enough for me. I do know I love the way they look together with different sizes and ethnicities represented in such a cool form.
Wow! I just passed 200 posts. I have been such a chatterbox the past few days.
