Just caught up this A.M. Couple of random thoughts FWIW: - Love the hair as much as ever. The shading is so amazing it looks like a painting. I'm dying to see it down and relaxed too. I always forget that he is such an artist - and this time I mean in the "design" since of the word.
- Speaking of artists, Japan has the tech stuff nailed. Even the sound in the audience videos is good. Would that be the work of the Japanese crew or his crew? Maybe a combination. Was there much fooling with his earpieces - my guess is no. Haven't watched it all yet.
- I'm more and more impressed with the way Bryan & Adam have developed the live performances of the songs. So robust and dramatic. They all seem more comfortable with the arrangements and can just have fun. IMHO
- The Adam/band thing - I think with this more casual non-tour for TP and his gigs with Queen, that Adam is really enjoying the spontaneity. I don't feel the need to take it any deeper than that. Compare it to the scripted show night after night with GlamNation. I wonder if he'll go back to that? He may be debating that himself. I'll bet the next "official" tour will be a lot looser version, at the very least. (He was so new to his new Rock Star persona back in GNT - I think the structured show was perfect - now he has more confidence and experience)

I think NM is a real coup for Idol. She is very relevant in today's music scene. I admire her for making her way in rap a genre that is dominated by men. When I have heard her interviewed, I liked her quirkiness. I think she might make Mariah look dated, but that is OK because they are bringing different demos with them. Now they have two male spots left. Nikki Minaj IS a real coup for Idol. But she is gonna totally overshadow Mariah. That leaves room for two more males, one of which will probably be Country. You know, if they get NM, they won't need a Jonas to bring in the younger demo. Nikki can play that role. My kids love her. |
