Seems to me there's a lot of mind-reading going on around here lately! Adam is keeping a happy secret...Adam is frustrated...Adam is excited about something...Adam has given up all hope...Adam is angry with his record label. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm just going to wait and see what happens. My psychic skills are pathetic at best. I don't think you have to be mind reader to sense a little bit of frustration in Adam's tweet. He tweeted, "what's new," right after acknowledging that label logistics was the hold-up. How else do you take that? It doesn't mean he is angry or annoyed with RCA.

I am hoping and praying and fingers crossed that Adam is only on Idol as a guest performer. I know the TV watching crowd wants him on there but I hope he isn't for several reasons. 1) He doesn't want nor need that demographic and it did nothing for JLo or Tyler. Tyler lost a lot of cred in my eyes & others for being on there. 2) I hate AI and don't want to watch it. 3) It seems that a lot of people who follow the show intensely are two crackers short of a box. 4) I'm tired of the speculation and over analyzation of every gesture and word out of Adam's mouth. 5) Let's get back to the music. I think on this particular board I am alone in this? Lol You forgot the most important thing. Adam wants it. I support things Adam wants. And we've been analyzing every word out of Adam's mouth for 3 years now. "Speculators R Us" ETA: Forgot to say Thank You for this. No one's ever said that to me before :-/

fixed!! Just need to delete the "s" on "https". I say that pic is sooo totally photoshopped! If you look at the pic on the hoodie, the bottom of it is totally straight when it should be slightly curved as the hoodie under it is. Also, that pic is much sharper than the pic of the hoodie itself. Look at the edges of it! Someone is just playing tricks...

I think on this particular board I am alone in this? Lol I think Adam being an Idol judge would be a massive *WIN-WIN* for him. Millions of people would see and hear him every week. That kind of exposure is invaluable. Think of all the new potential fans who could check out his music. The lingering hostile AMA persona could finally be overcome by his sense of humor, his intelligence, his musical knowledge, his graciousness and the performances that he would surely have. (I will see that finger at the end of his AMA performance till my dying day) Glad I knew him before that night. All of the above is a major way to "get back to the music." I agree (though not necessarily w/AMA issue). And LMAO! Get back to the music? Aren't there YouTubes of the music posed on almost every page of this thread? And yesterday's? And hasn't most of discussion been about single? Idol didn't do anything for JLo? The commas and zeros in her endorsement deals practically stretch from here to the sun. Sure, some she had before Idol, but she's had an *ahem* assload since. And her songs were played on KIIS a TON during and since Idol. And how many awards show appearances when she wasn't nominated? The formula is simple in my mind. A: Adam has a fantastic album but has an exposure problem. He needs exposure and, like fanoftheman said, people need to see how smart, sweet, funny and articulate he is to get past their defenses (whatever they might be). And Idol is a part of pop culture whether we like it or not. Idol is talked about on most morning radio and talk shows even when the DJs/talk show hosts don't watch it. They still get enough of the clips to have some idea what happened and banter about it for an entire segment. Ironically, I never watched a full season of Idol until ... wait, I've never watched a full season of Idol (came in around Satisfaction in season 8), but somehow I have still known who all the people were in almost all seasons because I picked it up from water cooler discussions, late night and morning talk shows, radio, entertainment news and the last few years, social media. It's part of pop culture and Adam WOULD not only be seen, but he would be talked about every single week for months. Just cannot argue with exposure like that. And he already has the association – it's never going away – so if he can make that a positive, I say go for it.

LOOOVE the "vocal masturbation" here- starting at 3:08 and especially 4:12 - 5:12 Me too!!! I posted it in the Cuckoo thread just because of that, although the video is bad. ( the audio seems fine?) Re the presence or absence of frustration in Adam's tweet: I'm not familiar with other meanings of the phrase apart from the obvious one, but I was surprised by the punctuation marks ( ?!) which made me think he sounded a bit frustrated.

How else do you take that? It doesn't mean he is angry or annoyed with RCA. I take it as "this is the way this business works"... Why would he be frustrated IF the label is trying to position for the best outcome? (I am assuming that it is in their (label's) interest to pick the best possible time for the best impact vis-à-vis, other events in the market/industry). In other words Adam and the label have the same goal (I hope) and are working as a team (I hope).

So he is throwing us off the scent by shrugging his shoulders and acting frustrated. I am as frustrated as you guys, instead of sorry for the delay, but it will be worth it. I guess I never get tired of this type of analysis.

So I sat and watched the AI performances last night. It seems like so long ago but it's only been 3 years. My life certainly has not escalated like Adam's has -- in fact, it made me feel quite lazy and under accomplished to see how far he has come in just 3 short years compared to everyone I know on a personal level. Besides celebrating birthdays and anniversary's not many other signaficant highlights. So, when we sit and angst (which I do not) about Adam's career, take a look at what he HAS accomplished. It's very remarkable. #glasshalffull I've been on a nostalgia kick, too. I never watched/read the Slezak Idolatry things during Idol, tho I've seen his 5 part Adam interview at the end a few times. It was so funny to go back and see what he said week to week about the different contestants. He was sooooo on the Kris and Allison bandwagons and I don't even remember R Baddy or whatever some other guys name was. Did agree with him about Jesse Lang.... whatever, liked her. I laughed when he said a few things to Adam about different performances because I would have loved to bring up the video of his slamming Adam and his "screeching" voice, among other things. Some of the things he said were rude and awful, but easy to forgive him his transgressions with Adam where he is right now. Will have to go watch some more soon.

Being an Idol judge means immediate, massive press to begin with. And, because people would get to hear how intelligent and funny Adam is on a weekly basis, it would mean better mainstream acceptance. And, I think once people realized he really DOES know what he's talking about when it comes to music and performing, it would help him to be taken more seriously. And of course, being a judge opens doors to awards shows and magazine covers and TV spots that Adam just isn't getting right now.
