Adam is so creative. And Brian works very well with him. In the intimate setting of the Sydney show, I think the full blown TP or Shady would have been too big for the room. Adam (and Brian) chose to go with a more laid back, funky, jazzy arrangement of the songs which I think was perfect for the space. What a treat! Where is the rest of the show?????

Glampoon, what is Brian doing there? Need your chord analysis. Other places it sounds like funky R&B. It's mostly just different inversions, chords themselves are pretty straightforward, what makes it really reggaeish though is that they're high, sparse chords on the offbeats, with a shuffle rhythm

Oooo, thank you. I love to hear Adam change up arrangements. This has a very different feel from the uptempo version. At the beginning I thought it lacked energy, but as I got into the vibe I liked it more and more. The chords Brian is playing during "Make their faces crack" are yummy jazz harmonies. Glampoon, what is Brian doing there? Need your chord analysis. Other places it sounds like funky R&B. Trespassing as cool jazz funk. I like it!
I think Adam and Brian have a real connection - and agree with the cool jazz funk - I like what they do together. The band sounded great and I still love Isaac sitting there in the back having so much fun.ETA: Ya, Isaac was up front here, but you know what I mean :D

And the final chord on "back" sounds quite different to me.

I see leg warmers in our future. eek! There was an episode of Glee where Britney (the unintelligent character) wore leg warmers on her arms to high school because she was confused about the calender and wore a tank top in winter. The trend caught on and the next day everyone was wearing leg warmers on their arms. Maybe Adam will start a new trend! lol

His vibe matches Adam's- which is IMO, that of pure joy in the music. Brian is also one that I really enjoy watching, as I feel he is also on the "pure joy train". :D

Lovely gifts today!!!
The smiling, happy, gorgeous voice full of nuances in 'Is this love' makes me feel sooo gooood. Yes, a full drum set would probably make it even better but to me if was fine as it was.
The slower, funky, soulful TP now in its entirety. I am so glad I did get to hear this when from the Japan performance with Brian which sounded very intriguing we got only some bits. I liked it a lot. Also the always enjoyable Shady. First time that I actually had no problem detecting the bass in both of these songs which is important part of them - great!
Clayton Bryant doing Broken English. It is awesome that other artists acknowledge Adam's songs and find them worthy of covering. Not a bad job at all - but of course I think that Adam does it better...
