Earlier, someone asked about Adam's involvement or help for the Red Cross, especially in connection with the Haiti Earthquake relief effort. I just happened to come across the video tonight, so here it is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph7VY1LODJU&feature=relmfuThank you for reminding me he did this video.

Hmm is it just me.. I'm liking the sound quality of the vids taken by the audience a little better than this one from take40. By sound quality, I mean how his voice sounds.. not sure how to describe the difference.. maybe a bit smoother or something in the audience vids, while the take40 one is clearer, but raspier or something.. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? I know what you mean. I read other posts saying they like the audience made vid cuz other was too slick with the cuts and the spontaneity of the crowd is lost, and so forth. I love both but I think I prefer the more polished one. You can hear his voice much much more clearly and isolated from the audience singing. He DOES sound raspy. I think he was putting little Marley flavor as homage to him. I thought it sounded cool. The man's versality astounds me. He can sing anything. Bob Marley's chararistic rasp was probably helped by the ganja (mon), but I think it gives his voice such expressiveness. And AL's version was happy and expressive as well. What a lovely song. I also love hearing a second male voice doing harmony with him. Adam's ability to harmonize is something that doesn't get discussed much, but I think he does it soooo beautifully and with his range he can sing so many parts. Would like to hear even more of that male-male collab. Or three part harmony would be cool. He's often singing all the parts on his songs on his studio tracks and even to himself live to a back-up track. Hopefully the new "more organic" Adam will be doing this more often instead of relying on trendy producer wizardy. I'm sensing a change in pop music to that anyway. (discovered by actually not hating EVERY SONG anymore on the pop radio station my daughter insists we play in the car : Btw, I actually fell asleep writing this last night! Pathetic. I'm sure I'm posted to a dead but what the heck.
