After reading that YouTube influences radio play .. please see Adamtopia numbers thread, I will keep on keeping on with the listens. Is this Love 35,436 not counting the thousands that watched on the 40 thing that was taken down. Never Close Our Eyes 7,204,625 Better Than I Know Myself 9,322,629 Next mission: Get BTIKM to 10 million. That's a milestone. good idea! Too bad BTIKM has been forgotten, I love that video! I wonder if there is any way to add up all the YT views for every single Adam YT, official, rips from concerts, and fans vids with his music in them. I'll bet it would be in the many millions of views. Gotta wonder why Radio doesn't play Adam's music, it is being listened to world wide by millions of people. Come on US radio, wake up!!!!

Iridium, that is an interesting article indeed, Nice to think there are other ways besides radio to get music out to a mass audience. I think Adam's videos are always huge pluses for him as they are unique and he is such eye candy.

Another side to "somthin is happening" ... have we ever seen Adam pimping his own performances on twitter as he does now? I mean he tweeted a link to the Is this love vid 3 times now .... never seen that !??!!
He does it charmingly, mixing with other tweets etc. but still unusual ... he wants to keep the viewing numbers on those YTs up, and IMHO for a (certain) reason .... keeping Adams name in the press ....
Well, apart from speculating, I'll just keep watching and listening :-)

Praying to the universe that this wasn't a one-off performance and that he'll do it many times more! I agree with all who said it'd be cool and wise for Adam to do covers, especially timeless classics which become his talent. I'm positive some songs of his own will enter that club. He changed up the lyrics a bit: Original: "We'll share the shelter of MY single bed" Adam:" ... of OUR single bed" Original: "SO I throw my cards on your table" Adam: " 'CAUSE I threw my cards..." And he added an extra line: Adam: " See, I got love, yeah..." He personalised the lyrics obviously intended to celebrate his love for Sauli and I think it is awesome and a real honour that Adam wants to share his emotions with his fans. I'm glad Sauli's blog has over one million hits and I plan to be much more supportive of him from now on. ( Thanks Miachihu and Zinnia for your work!) Apart from being Adam's love, Sauli is his muse and whatever happens to them ( nothing other than 'happily ever after', I hope), there's eternal record of their relationship in Adam's work which will remain independent from RL happenings. So, here's my shoutout to them!!!! They are that great. PS- I also prefer KiwiGlambert's recording of Is This Love to the official one, for all the reasons already stated by Pi, Cassie and Nikki. ( p. 2 and 3) AleksandraKV, you're welcome! The main reason Zinnia and I don't post pictures with the translations of Sauli's official blogs is that we would like people to go to his website to see the pics and give it hits. As it is his own personal site, it is important that it gets those. The Hollywood blog with Ilta-Sanomat is a bit different matter, since it's under the Ilta-Sanomat site. So, please go and visit his site, and while you're there, why not even post a comment for him?

No, I don't think that at all. I think is the classic "ducking" response. If it is a no, I can't not believe he would say he is still being considered.
Yeah, what?? He said "he doesn't know anything but still being considered." What was he supposed to say if he had it? "Oh, glad you asked, why, YES! I WILL be a judge on Idol. Gee, I'm so glad someone finally brought it up!" I think we have WELL ESTABLISHED that it is not his or any of the potential Idol judges' secret to tell. So he denied it? Of course he'd deny it. He has to. However the people who are out of running have begun the backpedal – Nick Jonas (very likely), Keith Urban and this recently posted E! article comes right out and says Miley is not in contention. www.eonline.com/news/340731/miley-cyrus-out-of-running-for-american-idol-judge?cmpid=sn-000000-twitterfeed-365-topstories&utm_source=eonline&utm_medium=twitterfeed&utm_campaign=twitterfeed_topstories&%3Fcmpid=eonline-twitter&dlvrit=48939Right when others began to pull the focus away from Idol, Adam and Shoshanna began putting the focus squarely on it. This all changed on Tuesday. IMO, Adam was given the "green light" to start talking on Tuesday. Both his and Shoshanna's rhetoric and approach changed dramatically that day. They're in full tease-but-not-confirm mode.
I don't think they are quite at that point yet. Full tease-but-not-confirm mode will be when Adam says he has something secret happening in September that his fans will go nuts over. Which is what I keep waiting for, really. Nicki is at that point.

I consider "Call me Maybe" as a typical kind of song that resonates with the general public. Its life cycle is interesting. It was released in Canada last year, I think around or even before BTIKM. For me it's just a cute little simple song, nothing really special about it. But I was surprised to see it become more and more popular and storm the charts.
What do you think about this song? Why does the public like it so much? Is there any of Adam's songs which has that kind of quality?
I do wish Adam has at least one like this. It's unlike Taylor Swift or gaga's songs that have very high sales on the debut week and then gradually go down. This "call me maybe" sales seems to go up and up and top the chart for 9 weeks (? ?), it topped the chart in the UK too, I think.
