pi and cassie, I'm not technical at all, but the fan vids give a much better impression of what Adam actually sounded like in the room. Adam was adjusting the sound quite a lot. From where I was standing in the middle of the room, there was reverb and it sounded fantastic. He did have a grittiness to his voice, but it didn't sound like strain, rather an effect he could create. I'd describe it as husky. I much prefer the fan vids. Thanks Nikki! I really wanted to post the video that sounded most like him, so it's good to get your feedback. Is there a fan video that you liked the most and do you happen to have the link handy? I'll post that one on my FB. This one sounds the best - there's not much choice though. The crowd was singing even louder than this vid picks up, so we're lucky. There was some talk a while back ago when Adam went platinum about how youthful it made him look. I think it was mentioned somewhere(interview?) very matter of fact that he had botox. I don't remember what the general opinion was at the time. Well guise, I've kind of been a little obsessed watching the Aussie interviews & I've noticed that Adam doesn't move his forehead like he use to, the crease between his eyebrows is barely there & in profile his forehead creases seem to be gone. I also noticed that only his outer eyebrows move now when he opens his eyes wider & his eyes seem more open & less hooded. I compared his expressions between the Aussie videos to some in my hardrive from the past 3 yrs. One of my favorite interviews is one I attended, "The Talk". I remember how expressive he was in person, so I pulled it up & made the comparison. Here are the links to the Aussie & The Talk Videos. Now that I've found someone on my FB that loves Adam, I want to post a Queen/Adam performance for her.. If I post only one.. which one is the best one? I'm having a hard time remembering now which vids really stood out amongst the many. Any recommendations on which videos had the best sound? Thanks! |
