Yeah - wearing an apron over my QAL T-Shirt would be a BRILLIANT way to prove to my whole family that I'm insane. :4OMG: That's what they think anyway, since the first day I'm on the rollercoaster-ride ...

Perhaps it's just me - but I can't enjoy listening to this Naked Love. What Brian is playing seems to have little to do with what Adam's singing.....more musical people, what's the problem? (You are going to say it's me!) :D I would never say it was you! Well, probably not. I think this song does not translate well into the sparse keyboard version. Brian is just playing some very basic rhythmic chords to back up the vocal, with a little canned drum synth to provide the beat. It lacks the bass line which should really drive the song. Brian could have prerecorded a bass line and added it, but I would guess he didn't because the way Adam goes off and riffs on these intimate performances anything prerecorded wouldn't work. It has to be live to follow Adam down whatever garden path he wanders. Another option would be to have foot pedals for the bass line. I have a sister who plays keys in clubs, and she always has that piece of equipment with her. Or, he could have two keyboards, one for the bass that he could set at one sound level and sound effect, and one for the chord harmonies. At the very least, he could play a fuller accompaniment, basically filling in more. From what I have heard/read, Brian is a very accomplished musician, so why he didn't do any of those things, I don't know. Maybe it was just too much equipment to cart half way around the world for a couple of acoustic gigs? I think Adam does a great job of carrying the song regardless. I'll give Brian a pass on this one. For me the chord groups he's playing just don't harmonize well with the notes Adam is singing so they sound off key and jarring. And like you say, he's just playing chords and no melody. It's more like being accompanied by a drum set than a piano. But it makes this version unique. When listening you'll always be able to tell where it was even without the video.

So great to hear THE VOICE with just minimal keyboard accompaniment. Nowhere to hide. You can either SING or you can't. And, WOW, can that boy SANG! Outdoors. In the cold. With people crowding around him. Yet, he looks thrilled to be there, thrilled to be performing. And he gives them his all, going up for that D5 like it ain't nuthin'. Perhaps someone forgot to tell him that world class, top tier tenors are proud if they can consistently sing the tenor high C (C5, a full step below what Adam sang) in full voice. And most look and sound like they are pushing a boulder up a hill when they do it. Not Adam. If you were to play the bridge part without sound for someone unfamiliar with the song or Adam, they would never guess he was singing stratospheric notes at about 2.23. To be fair that D5 wasn't really at a standard that top tier tenors need for their high C's. The WWTLF London #3 D5 though [/IMG]
So how many of them hit those notes sitting down?

Sounds like an 8-bit game soundtrack

Today I'm wearing my QAL T-Shirt for the first time (I've been in London on the 11th + 12th). And the whole day I'm in fear of making it dirty or making a hole in it. The end of the story is that I had to take it off and put it back in the closet. Does that make me a wacko or just a normal Glambert???? ;D WHACKO!!!!!

Scars make us @_RiverLooby_ ADAMMMMMM pic.twitter.com/kEAbKfjE Maybe my imagination, but Adam always seems to be particularly pleasantly surprised to see men in the audience.
