This is from a few days ago. Phillip Phillips talking about hoping the judges will be more critical this year. I'd say it's a sentiment that Adam would agree with. If you always get praise even when you know that it wasn't that good then the praise you get when you really are good isn't worth a plugged nickel either. So the lack of criticism devalues the praise. "I would say I hope they're a little more critical," he said. "Because there were some times when I performed, especially on 'Time of the Season,' man, my ears went out, but that's live television, I can't just stop the song, so I just pushed through it as best as I could and then they gave me good feedback and I was like 'Come on guys, it was horrifying.' I have a question: does the label earn anything from Adam's concerts, or any deal that they can arrange for him? They must have their share, right? If learned anything from Q3  , I think it's depend how his contract/deal with the label company is. If it's 360 deal, I think the label will get a portion of everything that their artist's earned. I googled the 360 deal, here musicians.about.com/od/ah/g/360deals.htmI really hope Adam don't have this kind of contract with RCA :-/. Though from that Billboard article where the RCA Sr VP of Marketing said that Adam is in their development artists, it looks like he gets the 360 deals, in returns they will keep him longer. |

Folks, Liam McEwan's new site has a "feedback" section. I am thinking it would be great to show our support. (It is knda empty-ish now).   The ONLY radio station dedicating 1 hour to @adamlambert presented by @liammcewan TheFleaFM Liam's cool new website! adamlamberthour.tk I was moving my DS to college yesterday...just caught up with the threads - so much excitement with the AI twitter follow (and unfollow by Shosh) and the TMZ "scoop"... .... based on those "events" I am upgrading my expectations from 50-50 to 90-10 in favor of the AI deal. ;D and it seems we will know very very soon  |

The comment about viewing Adam as a artist in development was a statement from RCA that they believed he needed time to fully develop his commercial potential. Not about contracts. Adam does not have a 360 degree deal with RCA -- technically, the Idols (including Adam) have a recording contract with 19R (19 Entertainment's Recording entity) and licensed to a label -- for Adam's year, Sony/RCA. He has a contract with RCA for their relationship that covers recorded music and its promotion. For Adam's year, the first two years after Idol, 19 Entertainment has contracts that give them a cut of almost everything -- recording, management, merchandising, etc. -- in essence a 360 deal. Adam is done with most of that now. So, he is managed by DMG, not 19 Management now. The Idol contract for Season 8 was filed with the court in California and is available to anyone who wants to get a copy and read it. |

Sounds like an 8-bit game soundtrack  [/quote] At the event they were only supposed to play 3 songs, but when V guy came up to wrap up Adam wanted to do another one and so said they would do Naked Love but hadn't rehearsed it at all so weren't sure how it would turn out... Still sounded great live and was fun to groove to. |
