Any idea why when I view Adamtopia posts they are always time stamped with CST and I am in EST, although only about 50 miles from the geographical line separating the two? I would suggest checking the settings in your member profile. Click on "profile", then click on "modify profile" and then scroll down to "Dates and Times". Make sure "Time Zone" is set to "GMT-5 Eastern" and that "Currently Observing DST" is checked. |

The comment about viewing Adam as a artist in development was a statement from RCA that they believed he needed time to fully develop his commercial potential. Not about contracts. Adam does not have a 360 degree deal with RCA -- technically, the Idols (including Adam) have a recording contract with 19R (19 Entertainment's Recording entity) and licensed to a label -- for Adam's year, Sony/RCA. He has a contract with RCA for their relationship that covers recorded music and its promotion. For Adam's year, the first two years after Idol, 19 Entertainment has contracts that give them a cut of almost everything -- recording, management, merchandising, etc. -- in essence a 360 deal. Adam is done with most of that now. So, he is managed by DMG, not 19 Management now. The Idol contract for Season 8 was filed with the court in California and is available to anyone who wants to get a copy and read it. So what is the new arrangement now? Does the label have their share from the concerts, tour or deal that Adam has ? As far as I can determine (and Adam does not send me copies of his contracts), just based on what is typical for Idol alums -- RCA provides promotional support for concerts but charges that to the artist's (Adam) royalties. Adam's concert promoters bear the responsibility for the concert expenses -- and Adam appears to have a stake in his concerts -- meaning all those sellouts are great for him. |

So if there is announcement tomorrow- is it likely to come at certain time of day or evening? I expect the Idol announcement mid-day Tuesday. BUT nothing is known -- we are all guessing. It may not even be this week. |

The time stamp depends on your own time zone, not the zone BL is tweeting from. The tweet says 8:51 PM for me. I'm Eastern Daylight Time. Brian London @brianlondon Going home! I youtube "Madness" song by Muse. Published on Aug 20, 2012 by muse This song has a very U2 feel to it to me. The vocal was really reminding me of something and I find it has a very similar vocal feel to Bono's "North and South of the River". Matt is very similar to a young Bono in this song. Hi Rihannuspf! I know you're a huge U2 fan and have brought so much knowledge and interesting insights into this board through that perspective. I really appreciate it, being a big U2 fan myself from the very earliest days of them as a college band. Before clicking on the Muse song, I wondered how much it would sound like U2. To me, it sounds so much like them that it has kinda spoils the song. I find myself inserting Bono's voice for Matt Bellamy. Good song, though. Just feel like I've heard it before. I really like Muse too; just seems a little derivative when it doesn't have to be. |

It may not even be this week. I don't think I can endure another week. If not I hope Adam announce his new single and we start getting dates for his promotions. But the thing is his BU singer said glamily (means the band and the BU singer) will have the whole September off. All the talk show appearance will be accompanied by his band. Unless their waiting until after this idol announcement to announce his single. :-/ |
