Let's talk single-related stuff. The other day I asked why Call Me Maybe is so popular, but it seemed that not many glamberts are into it, so we haven't been able to figure out what kind of song resonates well with the general public. How about Gotye's Somebody that I Used to Know, or fun. We're Young? What are there in these songs that make many people buy, do you think? Which song on Trespassing has that kind of quality? The instant I heard Gotye's STIUTK I fell in love with it, and had it on repeat all week. I still listen to it a lot and never tire of it. I am not a musician, though I do play the piano, so I can't talk technically about the song. Why I think it is a smash is that it is so different from the other stuff on CHR that it pops out and draws you in. It is sophisticated and edgy and makes the listener feel cool for liking it. On Trespassing the song that has the most of this edgy, hip vibe is Shady. I think it would also pop out on CHR. I agree that the key is the different sound or beat that is instantly recognizable and something different. If it pops out and grabs your attention it makes a connection more often than not. |

10 . Getting head, Top, QAF, 3 Idol and single related, Lilybop's (although I don't understand why this one) , the gay dance club gig , tongue dive, and the one that calls out the cray. This is because he's gonna be a judge on Idol and can't appear too OTT, and has to appeal to middle-America. ;D Or, because FOX is still pondering who to hire and Adam doesn't want to screw up his chances.  (Sorry, I'm taking Adam's interview comments and [deleted] tweets at face value and assuming he still doesn't know whether he is going to be an Idol judge.) Hope he gets good news on this front ... and soon! |

I like the 2013 Adam Lambert that Amazon is selling. It says ML Publishing in the UK. I wonder if this has been approved by Adam or Cherry? Has anyone asked?
