  I don't see Sauli being at all upset about the twitter party. He probably read it and laughed.  I really enjoyed the party. It felt like he was talking with friends. It was fun. He is one funny, vivacious , benevolent, open, chatty, friendly, lovable person... Instead of watching TV, doing crosswords or bloody embroidery or whatever he normally does when he can't sleep, he decided to hang out with us, because he wanted it, not because he needed it. Not announcing or promoting anything... just hanging out. It's so cool. I'm on #deletedforprofessionalreasonsteam ^^^^^^^^^ This!!! |

Top of page 2 for what i posted. Thank you for finding Adam's quote,I couldn't remember where I saw it. I think his quote can stand alone without what I said.. It says so much about Adam,his journey and Trespassing .Adam is so evolved,must be hard to be around folks who just don't get kindness and humanity. |

Adam's tweets were nothing compared to Minaj's - hers were waaaaay over the line.  I'm actually kind of pissed off about this. I see tweets all the time that all extremely sexual in nature from male and female performers. Minaj's were just un-classy and crude--and Rihanna's are always like that too. And of course male rappers or rock stars or whoever don't have to censor their tweets. Have you seen how Adam Levine is always bragging about his hot girlfriends and active sex life? I understand that it's supposed to be empowering for women to say crude stuff, especially among female rap artists that are taking ownership by "flipping the equation" of extremely anti-female rap lyrics done by men for decades. But it just seems sub-literate to me and nasty. Adam's humor is raunchy but sophisticated in comparison. Anyway, Adam is a grown man. He shouldn't have to clean up his tweets. He is not some role model for the tweener set that has to keep a squeaky clean image. Perhaps he himself just felt he went too far. But, please. It was cheeky and hysterical. I just hope it wasn't management because he didn't get Idol and they didn't feel it would be wise to have this in his twitter history, or if he were embarrassed by it after he was told he wasn't in the running. I am not angsting, btw. I'm starting to care less and less about Idol. But I *do* care about double standards and that is what concerns me. They are Adam's tweets to tweet,to erase ,to send to the moon. So It's all good. I loved what I saw.... so whatever filter, no filter.. Adam is an adult and makes his own decisions,as he's said in the past he's nobody's puppet. |

Hi! I just finished the thread and after hearing about Adam deleting some of his tweets my first thought was....well his tweets were PG compared to Nikki M's twitter rant! While Adam was having the twitter party I was thinking when I read some of the tweets..OK..well..wonder if this is a good idea if he wants Idol. Knowing there are a lot of "pearl clutchers' that watch AI. Then I thought..Adam is edgy...that's who he is...so Adam should just be his 'edgy with a smile' self...it makes him exciting and fun to watch. The 'pearl clutchers' will just have to:  OT but a nice story so scroll if not interested. My son and I were eating at a restaurant here called "Blueberry Hill" where they have a lot of old poster of musical artist from the 60's to present and I started talking about music with the young guy waiting on us. He said that Brian May was his inspiration for picking up a guitar and, of course : , I kind of lead the conversation to Adam/Queen Concerts. He didn't know anything about the Adam/ Queen shows so I let him know how amazing the Adam/Queen shows were and told him to go on line and check them out. He said he was definitely going to check it out. Hopefully he will become another AFL fan! |
