BTW, slightly OT, but not totally ... interesting stat on the day (as my brother likes to say): About Idols Live Tour: www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2011-03-30-idoltour30_ST_N.htmMaking the tour is a key milestone for contestants. They get paid for each concert, with typically 40 or so tour stops — and though the tour slumped to a $9.6 million gross last summer, it pulled in more than $30 million in 2009, according to Pollstar. They also receive a portion of profits from merchandise sales. All around wonderful news day! I know it's true, but it was nice to have RCA Ed acknowledge the fans participation in pushing the DVD to #1. I hope that chart position will encourage a few newbies to buy. Like everyone else here, I feel like people just need to really hear and see Adam to become a new fan. OT, but sorta not. I caught Britney's act in the middle of the night on a repeat. You guys weren't exaggerating about the awfulness of her performance. She wasn't singing and she was barely moving dancing. She did have great pro dancers and pyro. Adam could do her act a lot better without breaking a sweat.

Wonder how much Adam made from merchandise that summer. They ran out of his stuff quite a bit.

Even though it was certain by the pre-sale to be the #1 music DVD -- #1 is the most beautiful number. Now Ed -- what are the units sold???????? I am dreaming of a 5-digit number, but want the number so we know where it is on the total DVD chart.

Adam's 2009 tour figures are nearly identical to the 2008 numbers, although 2009 tour numbers overall were down 40%. (If I've got any of that wrong, Q3 can whack me upside the head with the correct stats.) Edit- 2009 tour industry numbers were down 40%, not Adam's tour.

A little story to amuse you. After recently visiting my parents (mid 80s) in the frozen wasteland of Wisconsin, I uploaded some of the photos taken there to the Walmart website, and had them printed out for pickup at the local store in my parents' hometown. Oops. Didn't know that the fierce Sleepwalker in the clouds pic was still in my cart from a previous time when I was playing with reprints. So, my folks now have a nice pic of Adam. (They know I am a fan, and are pleased I have met so many nice ladies on this computer thing-y whatchamacallit --- Adamtopia.) Their reaction? He is very good looking. He is very young. He looks very energetic. :-[ :-[ Um, yeah, among other things!

How fabulous is that second picture? Yesterday, someone was wishing for a picture with Sauli looking at Adam and here we go. And holding hands. The article calls them a laughing duo, which is just what these pictures look like. And the pouch necklace is back. It's ridiculous how happy it makes me to see both of them looking so happy. I'm feeling squishy. Just jumping right in...trying to catch up.. and I see the pictures.. It was me wishing for that elusive picture of "eye-gazing" or "hand-holding" and..squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee today we get hand-holding pics with Sauli looking adoringly at Adam.. I can hardly stand it.. They are just to presh.. they are glowing with happiness.. *sigh* [running back now to finish catching up] LOL squeeeeee

I know I attended my first (and last) Idols Live concert to see Danny! And getting to meet him was the thrill of my life!! He was that tall, dark haired, gorgeous man with the angel & devil voice who knew how to use a mike stand -- right? S8 was my first (and second ... went to two) Idols Live Tour and yes, I daresay last, unless I get paid to go in the future or something. :-/ There was one reason and one reason only that I was there and judging by the screams every time the tall, dark haired, gorgeous man with the angel & devil voice who knew how to use a mike stand hit the screen, many others were there only to see Danny too. Erm, was that his name? Huh, I'll have to look it up. Wonder what he's up to these days ...
