Adam generates buzz, and this is a good thing

Most people who follow Adam and/or Idol know that when anything happens with Adam, there is always a lot of talk about it – fans, detractors, even casual bystanders – seem to have to talk about him. Even if just to say they do not want to read any more about Adam. I am not sure why this happens, but I know it is a good thing.
I’ll bet you’ve seen it, too. An article mentions 10 celebrities and includes a mention of Adam, and 80% of the comments are about Adam. Or look at the Idol sites – an Adam article gets 300 comments, while a column about Carrie or Kelly gets 10 or 20 or 50. Why? I do not know, but I know it is a good thing.
Even back in 2009 during the Idols Live! Tour you could see it. At the Little Rock concert Meet and Greet, yes in Kris’ home town, the fans at the M&G were more interested in meeting Adam than anyone else.
So, why do I think it is a good thing? The first part is easy, part of being a celebrity is being someone that lots of people are interested in and want to talk about and have an opinion about.
But this same buzzabiltiy is also currency for a recording artist. Paired with Adam’s immense talent and creativity, his ability to generate online buzz and to get people talking is why he has been able to define himself and his brand. It is why he got to produce the album he wanted to make (well with the exception of 2 or 3 tracks that seem to have come from RCA’s A&R folks).
