Since y'all are looking thru your photo collection, it is a good time to ask. I am thinking of doing another calendar for 2013. Looking for the best high resolution photos to use. Most of the pics posted online are not high enough to work well. If you have a favorite that you can pass on, would you please PM me with a URL or point me to the good ones? If you don't know the resolution, right click on the image and you may see an option for "properties." Click on that to get the size. I need something that is at least 800x. Thanks for your help. These photos are all nicely organized & HQ pics labeled. Many of my favs come from this site. |

Ya know whatever their intentions,I think the show has sunk to the level of bottom feeders. Do they really think they can now cry poverty when trying to get another judge. Do they ever consider the contestants being the vital part of the show. I'm done with AI. Well...I think none of the shows are about anyone at all. They are about BUSINESS. They are about advertisers, and those are about audience demo and numbers. Everything else is means to that end. So, assuming that Biebs will bring millions of little girls to watch - it makes business sense. Look what happened during Olympic coverage. They were going crazy over Biebs tweeting the 16 years old swimming winner (forgot the name) and her sqeeing over the fact. At times i t felt Biebs was part of the games... (was embarrassing to watch) The thing is that contestants might or might not hook the audience, and they need to get as many eyes watching from the very beginning = it does make sense to try and attract the audience by having the current big celebrities in those chairs... From what I am reading here it sounds that all singing competitions are like that - the Voice and the X-Factor especially. It seems the nature of the shows has changed from the very first years of AI and the show needs to keep up with the times. I want Adam to be there with all my heart, for all the reasons that have been rehashed a million times. He is part of the business and he needs to play the game. To change the subject: I can't believe we have no Sept. 1 videos (aside from the 1:30 one) ... this is the price WE have to pay of everyone having fun and not bothering to record AND the fandom "opinion"attack the few glambert attendees had to endure... hope someone recorded and will post... I wouldn't get discouraged melliemom, you just need to filter all these press mentions with your BS meter fully engaged. I LOLled when I saw the Bieber mention. Yeah, that was never going to happen. When a WHO WILL IT BE?? Press campaign such as this one goes on for weeks (and weeks...) pretty much everyone in the free world will be floated as a rumor at some point. Biebs' people could have made that up or the Enquirer could have. I'm sure AI doesn't care. It's free publicity for them. Many of the stories they deliberately float for publicity and to throw people off the track. I never thought Diddy or Kanye was for real either. They spent their Big Money on MC. Even though they have a lot of money, I couldn't see them going any higher than Mariah and Diddy, Kanye, etc. would demand more. |

Mellie,You are very upset about the Bieber rumor--I guess from the Enquirer article that was linked a couple pages ago. Remember, it is gossip magazine of low quality. Even if the report is true, it could be quite old news. Not my favorite but huge. And more relevant than Nick Jonas. TV shows are about ratings and it is about the bottom line. I'm not sure I see how this changes anything for Adam or makes AI more of a "bottom feeder" show.

I would never want Adam to walk away because he wasn't offered the alleged amount that the Biebs was. Adam is not quite at the place the Biebs is right now.
Walking away for that reason would only hurt Adam - kinda like cutting off his nose to spite his face. The judges position is about so much more than the dollar amount offered.

Glamnut, when you use the "add image to post" feature of this forum (instead of using Photobucket, ImageShack, or some other photo hosting service), it posts just a thumbnail of the actual picture. If you want to see the larger picture, just click on the thumbnail and it will enlarge. Posting pictures this way is much easier on the peeps with older computers and/or slower internet connections.

If you want to see the larger picture, just click on the thumbnail and it will enlarge. Posting pictures this way is much easier on the peeps with older computers and/or slower internet connections.
