Thank You for the Warm Welcome! And a Welcome to Albiku, too!
My name: Well, it just tickles my fancy...
My tale is not atypical: Adam had my attention with auditions...swept off my feet w/Satisfaction...and no turning back/in tears by TOMT.

ETA: I think they might announce Idol judges on or around 9/12/12 and tie it to the X-Factor premiere. iihy too, I think. Adam has never (to my knowledge) made the jump from hac to chr successfully. btikm was the first time they tried it, and it didn't work. I guess this add was from an Adam supporting station about to host a concert, so it makes sense. There is only one Adam single that was not pushed to HAC -- NCOE. I just do not want them to repeat that. All the others were pushed to CHR/Pop and HAC. December 21, 2009 -- WWFM Adam Lambert: “Whataya Want From Me”: ^36 Pop (44), ^44 HAC (45) And the one they pushed only to CHR..... June 16, 2012 -- NCOE Adam Lambert: “Never Close Our Eyes”: ^36 HAC (37) There was one song that they released to Pop first then HAC -- IIHY -- and that was because WWFM was still so high on the HAC and AC charts. July 12, 2012 Adam Lambert: “If I Had You”: ^32 Pop (37) “Whattaya Want From Me”: 5 HAC (3), 8 AC (9) Just MHO, I think they should have pushed IIHY to HAC earlier and it would have been a BB Top 20 hit. Both songs were, of course, released to both chr and hac. wwfm took far longer on hac than on chr. on 12/10/09, it was 37 on chr, 44 on hac. 12/20/09, it was 34 on chr, still 44 on hac. hac does move slower than chr, of course, but you could by no stretch state that wwfm was primarily an hac song that crossed over to chr. Adam has never had a song that succeeded first on hac, then crossed over.

Was just about to post this! iTunes Canada has a 39 song "back to school" pop/rock compilation, all songs $0.69. Artists and songs all over the map, (abba to skrillex and everything in between) including NCOE! \o/

Whatever is in the works, I feel this time Trespassing its getting a proper launch... how many CD's get a 'second launch'? I think that is quite amazing. Everything seemed so helter-skelter before. I could not see any rhyme or reason to the roll-out of Trespassing. No fault of BTIKM and NCOE, but now I am sensing a PLAN. I may be delusional, but opting on the side of #PLAN for Trespassing. It is far too remarkable an album to smoulder and disappear. As much as I adore Adam, no one is indispensable in today's music market. Adam knows this as well as anyone. And 'I'm Feeling Good'... ;D (hugs Dallas... )

I was trying to make a very simple point that is somehow getting lost -- I want RCA to push Trespassing fully as an Adult Pop track and not play around with some budget scheme like the online push for BTIKM during the holiday freeze or the CHR-focused push they tried for NCOE. -- I am not saying that RCA should not push it to Pop stations, but it is the third single from Trespassing and the first potential hit. A lot (maybe most) of the radio promo Adam did was focused on HAC -- so he has some IOUs out there. HAC stations were most willing to play both BTIKN and NCOE because WWFM was a Top 5 HAC song that lasted for a year+, #13 on Pop. It is where I would go to prove Trespassing deserves airplay. JMHO. There are many ways to promote a song -- I start promotions from the area of biggest strength and build on it. One thing I have learned -- when it comes to promotions, there is always more than one way to win, but many more ways to lose.
