The front is painted as well. They painted over the stiches. If you look closer to the zippers, you will see the paint marks there. I think it is easier to do the front as they can be detached into single strips. But it is very hard to do the back. They must have made stencils I guess, because I don't know what to use to draw visible lines on leather which can be cleaned off in case you make a mistake. Perhaps he used painters tape to block off the lines. It is designed to pull off clean, and yet prevent under seepage.

Yep, this clinches it for me, Gelly. I've suspected, but wasn't positive it has been professionally tailored. This was no craft project. It looks like the stripes were added to the front and the zipper was redone. I thought the stripes in back were WAY too perfect to be a craft job. Happy retirement cookiejar!!!Why am i obsessed with this vest? I really thought the whole thing was a professional job, maybe even an entirely new piece. I enlarged the picture several times yesterday and studied the seams on the front trim. I thought I saw the same thing you see, Susie and Gelly, stitching and a new zipper. But when I saw the pics of the back and the not so perfect paint job and the spikey studs on the collar that looked like those on some Finnish guy's blog, I thought craft project. If someone took the time to sew strips along the front of the vest why not finish the job correctly with strips sewn on the back too? oh what does it matter anyway. who is the fourth idol judge and what are their credentials? But it is interesting that Adam has been mentioned more on Ryan Seacrest's website. The funny face thing. did he do the miley vs adam hair compare? Or something else?

I have a built in time clock that has been getting me up by 4:30 every day. I am hoping to be able to reset that to at least 5:30 but i do enjoy getting up early and going over to the beach for sunrise.

What you might see is tiny threads. I have a very very good vision and the vest is altered professionaly with ribbons attached. The yellow cloth is ON TOP of the leather. And as already SusieFierce said it's very visible especially on the left (as we see left) zipper ETA Having said that I DON'T KNOW if the back is done by Adam and probably Sauli did the spikes on the collar vest while he did his boots. But the front is not painted.
