I'm a major lurker but I guess I'd say something about this since nobody else is.
IMO the whole Perez thing is not as straightforward as it would be for a non-celebrity friendship. Yes, normally what he did would be really douchy.
BUT. The same rules of notoriety do not apply in the celebrity world nowadays. I really don't think this story hurts Adam at all and I further think that Perez (and Adam) both KNOW this. Adam kinda likes his "bad boy" image, does not want to be squeaky clean, and does not shy away from a good controversy, as we all know. And Perez is, I think, a genuine supporter of Adam, in his way. Yes, he also really enjoys being part of "the club" so he lurved telling this story as "an insider" (look at me, I get to hang with lady Gaga, and look what I find out!!). But he also knows that a good story makes stars interesting. Look at Kesha: she basically built her entire pop image on stories of her behaving like a "bad girl" around celebrities, puking in Paris Hilton's closet at a party, breaking into Idonknowwho's house, etc.
So let's not nail Perez to the wall just yet. We don't know what really happened. For all I know Adam very well might have given him the green light (in private) to talk about this. It would really not surprise me.
Also, how Adam is in private and the image he might choose to portray for the public are two different things. I genuinely think he's a more vanilla guy in private than he'd like people to think. But he also knows vanilla is not very interesting, and I think he doesn't want to be known as vanilla.
JMO.

I appreciate reading your point of view, but for me, Perez has just shown himself to be a very large, very stinky pile of dog doo. mika - ;D

I'm sorry, but this is the funniest fucking thread I've ever read.[/size] From HSM's dynamited oranges to momtomany's pool shenanigans, and now fans are actually donating to a donor's choose ceiling tile project... This is the best shit ever. That is all.

OT I was able to turn up the volume, so I uploaded the louder one to YouTube. I've been waiting for 2 years for Samual0011 to do it. I hope he doesn't get mad. I could delete it or make it private. Bless you! I am hard-of-hearing and this is one of my FAVORITE performances. I have always been disappointed at how quiet this video has been, even TURNED UP in all the ways I could think of. I didn't know you could alter sound on a video that isn't yours originally. BLESS YOU!!!!! It sounds so much more clear to me now! I love everything about this song, his command of the stage, his voice (WOW!!), how he comes on singing and leaves promptly when he is done and the audience's reaction. Now I can enjoy it even more! ;D

Okay, Mika, I'm now kinda obsessed with the bronx zoo cobra's twitter account. I'm have a kind of professional interest in little city vignettes. So, um, thanks for that. Perez acted like a gossipy, nasty, unpleasant asshole? What else is new--that's not just his personality, its his livelihood. Perez was never Adam's friend. I'm 100% confident Adam never thought he was his friend. Perez wishes, anyway. Somebody earlier put this adam-story (if its true) down to celebrity exceptionalism--that celebs are entitled and think they deserve a different standard. I disagree--the lulzworthy stories posted in the last couple hours on this board are enough proof that everyone acts like an ass when they're shit-faced-drunk, lol, not just celebs! (with love, my favorite little drunkards, with love ). And in my experience it's always tolerated with a loving eye-roll by the observers, and a blushing "oh my god I was SOO DRUNK last night" by the perpetrators, and everyone is understanding. Sounds perfectly plausible that Adam had a little too much, that he subsequently acted like a fool, that eyes were rolled--hell, he himself said, sloppy. I'm sure he was also funny, frequently charming, and duly apologetic afterwards. None of this was malicious, or even unfriendly. It sounds like exuberant, dorky, positive Adam being his exuberant dorky positive self, just a little, you know, lubricated. Lube always makes things sloppy, yes? Embarrassing? Yes. I only wish every scandal was so "embarrassing." (not naming names.) Even if every tiny detail of Perez' story is 100% true, I think its at most endearing and worth an : . If only every person were that positive a drunk. Personal angle: I'm a total control freak, and don't even drink (gasp). (Got no problem with others consuming, but that doesn't mean I don't roll my eyes when they act like fools. I'm hardly the most forgiving person on this front.) However, even little teetotaler me knows that there is a big difference between drinking too much, and "having had a little too much." By the way, the really serious professional drinkers I know? They don't get drunk easy. And its not party time for them--its workmanlike. It's hard to imagine a person who has his shit together more than our Adam. Maybe its nice that it isn't so together all the time. Kinda like his hair last night. Mmmm.
