I'll see your locked stall door and lost car and raise you a cut on the chin that required stitches, blood stains on a white cotton jumpsuit that never came out and 12 hours lost to tequila that I can't stand the smell of to this day.  I stick to vodka and wine now.  I see your locked stall door and chin cut and raise you dynamite around a campfire while drinking sangria with a batch of wasted German engineering students on a mountainside. ETA: They were small sticks of dynamite, not like industrial quantities, tho'. I swear! Admittedly we were also trying to figure out if we had enought stuff to mix up plastique. Laughing my ass completely off, that is soooooo fucking engineering geek.  I know I am way behind but in Anchorage got off a company plane where drinks were served free (return flight only) after a week working on the North Slope and kept partying with some friends and the next thing I know we are on a plane to Reno and I still don't remember coming home. I am probably lucky I didn't get married. Wait a minute ... there is some stranger at the door requesting alimony. What will my sons think? |

I promise this will be the only time in my lifetime I will disappoint you  I do not follow Perez on twitter, you are incredibly witty and if you give thumbs up to his witty tweets I believe you. I believe you, because it is you, I trust you and you have always presented yourself to me honorably. I am wary of Perez, yes true I have only become aware of him since following Adam, because he has not been someone that has always presented himself, to me, with integrity & honor. So do you want to talk about reptiles at the San Diego Zoo, or, I love the double-decker bus ride. ;D [grin] Cayman - mika is joking. @bronxzooscobra is the twitter account of the missing (whoops! Then there was the time a bunch of us went to Vegas and we got to see Sinatra. We all stayed in one room and I had been drinking and apparently Telly Sevelas had been hanging on me most of the evening and I landed up in his room for the night - but didn't remember a dman thing. My girlfriend Gina still reminds me of the night with Telly that I don't remember. Dying here!!  What the hell is it about those Sinatra concerts? A similar thing happened to me but Telly Sevelas was nowhere in sight! or  depending on one's point of view. I decided not to comment on the Perez mess because I don't know the truth. I'm the last person to judge Adam's behavior (if indeed it WAS his behavior) as I've done some silly stuff while drinking. All in the past sadly. ETA: I guess the only part that bothers me is the "being asked to leave". From what I read the entire shindig was a riotous drunken orgy including the birthday girl herself. So why was Adam asked to leave? Rhetorical question. |

Lolling so hard at all the drunk stories... what an entertaining bunch you all are - love it! I partied long and hard from 17 till around 42 (booze and grass), when I suddenly got bored and couldn't be bothered anymore One of my 'moments' : was when I was around 20, I had shifted down to Christchurch (earthquake city) to follow my lust (hubba hubba) for a guy  We lived in a really old Victorian house that had a truly disgusting outside loo. Anyways, one night we had a tequila party. I can't remember how many I had, but I must of toddled off to the loo and didn't come back. Eventually the rest of the party must of sobered up enough to realise I was missing and came looking for me. I was passed out in a pile somewhere down the back of the garden. It was also the middle of winter and Christchurch was having it's coldest winter in 40 years. If I had been out there any longer, I probably would have gotten hypothermia or frostbite. It took me four days to recover and I have never touched Tequila again Bourbon is my poison now 8-)  I'm on team #Adamcandowhateverthefuckhelikes. Good grief he's only 29 and having a blast. Let's not have him pulling up a chair by the hearth and wearing comfy slippers just yet OK! Seoulmate, PostFestumPF, 4Msrmyn and Spring2009 thank you BB's  Nica my friend - thank you for sharing our S S Glambert story. Without it, I would never have met you and the wonderful others of our group in person, or have ever ventured out of my cave to the US #suchwonderfulmemories Ugh! I must, must, must now enter RL again. I have a print deadline of today and am not even close. *waves* |

Well, I have a drunken story or two. I used to go for 2 weeks to Cape Cod with a group of friends from college after the school year was over. Then we would come home to work for the summer. Senior year, we decided to play a word game called Wipeout and if you missed you had to drink a whole Cuba Libre (rum and coke). Well I guess I got Wiped out. I woke up the next day with vomit all over the bed. My first response was poor Suzie, she must have gotten sick. We had to share a bed on this trip. Well as it turns out, I had passed out. They drug me into bed, where oviously I was the one that had vomited and messed up the entire bed. Needless to say, I was hung over for several days. But I still chuckle tto this day about saying "poor Suzie" and I still get razzed about it. Then there was the time a bunch of us went to Vegas and we got to see Sinatra. I am sure I have stories but I really don't remember them..In my early 20's I partied a lot.. followed bands around and did many questionable things.. so its probably better I don't remember.. one of the more mild stories that I do remember.. is sneaking beer and weed into a concert. We had been to the bar before hand ( there were 5 girlfriends and myself) we all had these big hand bags, and we each had a few bottles of beer I think plus I had the weed.. yeah we couldn't walk and it was winter.. we slide(not gracefully I am sure) down a hill .. I remember seeing my bag flying in the air.. my bag was leather and the bottles opened.. I had beer seeping out of the seams and the weed was floating.. OMG.. we still went to the concert.. how on earth we didn;t get busted is beyond me, as I am pretty sure we couldn't talk without slurring .. Lets just say that back then was a different world.. I do know I am fortunate to be alive.. I can say that.. and thats why I try to stay on top of what my kids do.. my god if they do just half of what we did.. I would cringe.. Well, if we start seeing more and more stories of public drunken conduct from Adam I will be very disappointed. With a very close friend having gone through addiction you would think he has a very good understanding of what it does to your life.. So I am just going to eat my popcorn and watch from the sidelines .. and not pass any judgement. |
