I am tying this to Adam through Nigel Lithgoe and Fox and judging...yada yada yada But seriously, SYTYCD has dropped all pretence of realistic judging this year too...perhaps this is the fate of all these reality talent shows...they start off with noble intentions and then get completely corrupted by the money. They have their 'version' of Durbin in a young man called Cyrus...he is untrained but exuberant and they praise really mediocre moves from him while good, trained dancers get voted out. GRRRR for some time, I really thought this show was 'different' in that respect but ...not...

yay dyg!! ;D I've tweeted a couple of times to SNL and have seen many on my feed tweet, but I think a lot of the fandom is distracted by today's fashion shows.... pretty excited for the Blondes show myself! :D Yes, I am sure that´s why not so many tweets for SNL :-( I am also excited about The Blonds. I am waiting for the livestream. Still one hour to go. It will be 3:30 am here in Spain. |

GRRRR for some time, I really thought this show was 'different' in that respect but ...not... Agree! SYTYCD was my favorite show. I couldn't make it through half of the season. I was bored by the contestants and the obvious push to Cyrus. The same has become true with Project Runway. They have shortened the time for challenges and the work is all mediocre because of it. I question if the US will be burned out by talent shows by the time Idol air in January. |
