The strange Idol PR mess....they were supposed to announce last week and did not. Now it seems like they will be filming with the new judges before it is officially announced.

I think what helped the Idol singers is/was the the AI concert tours across America with the top 10.Then of course the top two got albums out right away and people knew them from the show and from the concerts. You could root for them,they became part of your life.
There was and is a lot of support ,The Voice doesn't have that type of artist support

Ha, ha!! As I woke up this morning, I realized I had gotten over my incredulous, disbelieving mood about Randy and had progressed into Fuckin MAD! Then I went on twitter and clicked on this. It is perfect!  t.co/xcfJE4YI'm with you on this. But it ain't over till Sunday. Adam for some reason always lands on top, so if AI was not meant to be then so be it. Maybe it is a sinking ship, and this season it will falter, but who knows. Simon is not getting as much love as he would like even with Britney, so time will tell. Yes indeed fab exposure, and it is watched in the UK, a lot. So ultimately it would have been an avenue for him in the UK. I'm mad too, but I'll make a new batch of mashed taters. |

It is not just a Jewish holiday but it is the High Holidays! And in NYC -- when I imagine a few of the contestants may be observant Jews.
I wonder what happens if you are Jewish and made it to the judges round in NYC -- will they let you travel to another city to audition? Or do you have to choose between God and Idol?
ETA: Or maybe the Jews get scheduled before sunset on Sunday and that is why they are starting on Sunday?
