Beckkþ@bexxibert_ Adam Lambert is playing in the background on Corrie!!! I shouldnt be this happy... I am guessing this means Coronation Street, early evening drama show in the UK, cannot verify though... Is that the show Brian May's wife has a role in? |

But the same type of soap, only Coronation Street is older. ETA Wikipedia tells that she quit the show in 1988, roles after that in other shows, no mention of 'Corrie'. |

... Adam may not be the biggest "recording star" from Idol, yet, but he certainly is one of the biggest celebrities - the fashion week coverage was amazing example of that. Celebrity is good. And it's not "empty" celebrity, he's known for his amazing voice, too. One thing that impressed me on Fashion Police - He was not announced simply as "the singer Adam Lambert", but "the singing sensation Adam Lambert". Very fitting. |

ETA I am somewhat familiar with the show, it was shown here (don't know if anymore). |

Ya know, I was just thinking... Over the past three years we've spent a lot of time arguing about discussing the whole issue of "age" on this forum. When Adam first tweeted about the contest and said something like, "Dress up, dance, get creative!!!" I responded with an eye-roll gif, like NOT IN MY LIFETIME AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN, ADAM!!! But, in retrospect, I was thinking that some "elderly ladies" could've done a kick-ass vid about all the situations where they feel they're NOT WELCOME and how they just trespass right on in... not caring what anyone thinks with a fuck-you attitude. I'm sure we could've come up with MANY little vignettes, and I'm sure Adam would have loved it. That's all.  That would have been a great idea for a video, seoulmate!  I actually thought about doing something but I could only come up with a trio..me, myself and I. Not enough punch there...lol...  HIYA HOPPERS!!I..erm..got in the carpetbag and if you are short of the valium lollies..well, it WAS an emergency, honest. :redface: :redface: :redface: Happy to see the vid winners! Adam is SO genius..for all the reasons mentioned before in the thread. But it took a lot of negativity out of the *other* thing going on. Brilliant man. I don't know how he and Sauli did it..I love Trespassing, but could only do about 20 listens at a time and my ears went poof. Congrats to Atopers for 'moving along'...I know, still feelings, but it is indeed a new day!  |

When i heard that nicki minaj was to ne an idol judge, i started vaguely hoping that adam would not be an idol judge. I do not like nicki minaj, and despite my dvr being a wonderful way to watch idol, i began to wonder if adam being lumped in with minaj was such a good thing.
I am sure adam is fine. The man is resilient and fabulous
And i love the idea of a video showcasing the women who might be a little older who most certainly are made to feel that they are trespassing in a world ruled by ageist white men.
