......one LAST thought on AI......I think Adam knew quite awhile ago about the judge selection. If we assume that he arranged the Trespassing Video Contest as a fan distraction, then he must have known before September 6, when the single had been announced and the contest together with it. I feel a bit like I'm doing a post-mortem here, but what was the date he deleted his Ambien-induced Tweets? In any case, I'm over the AI stuff. I agree with both your points, Slapdash and Aleksandra, abt he not being so destroyed by this because he knows rejection and prolly had a better feel of his chances and also that his contest was truly a gift to his fans to perhaps lessen the blow. Or maybe the guy is just an incurable optimist? Something that I wouldn't know about, being more of the "assume something bad will happen so if it does I'll be prepared" type. The upside of that is that I'm often prepared, lol. The downside is sometimes it makes me forget to enjoy all the great things. I'm working on that attitude!

I can't believe fans trended this based on a RUMOR? Yikes. It's so freaking condescending. And makes him look like a failure. Good job fans (SOME fans I should add). I know! At first, I asked if it was official. A girl answered me and told me that a Sony rep had said so to someone in one of Adam's fan sites. I was like: : Seriously, people need to stop believing shit unless it comes from Adam himself. On the positive side - last night was fantastic. He made us feel good and I'm pretty sure we made him feel good! An exchange of happiness - Infinity. *Fangirl moment, scroll if needed* Fuck yeah! I went to bed with a huge smile in my face, and I was still smiling when I woke up this morning. He's precious. I'm so happy I decided to see what was the deal with Queenbert. I probably wouldn't have "discovered" him if I hadn't. Now I'm completely hooked. He inspires me, he makes me want to be better. He's the reason why I've been studying music again, after 8 years. He's so fucking great it's not even funny.

Seriously, we talked about the Idol job, and what it might or might not mean, for two months on this board. Give people some time. Not everybody processes things or gets over them at the same rate. People work through their emotions in different ways and at different speeds. We discussed the AMAs for months! Hell, some fans still discuss the Idol season finale, and some still won't watch it! Give people more than 12 hours to work through a few things. I haven't posted much about AI, but I'm much rather permit the Mods steer the conversation and end it when necessary than our community members. My comment was just my simple observation of the amount of time that fans seem to talk about disappointments or even shockers like the AMAs or even Finlandgate. These types of things usually take time as fans have different thoughts and feelings that come up over a period of time. In fact, one can feel one way about something one day and entirely different the next day or month or year. I feel entirely different about the Idol win and the AMAs than I did 24 hours after it happened. I look back at all the gates and disappointments we have been through as a fandom and I know that things always work out one way or another, but we have always talked through them and moved through the feelings at a different pace. Just saying that it is normal and healthy- that's all!

The ambien induced twitter party was on August the 28, I guess he deleted some tweets the day after that. You think he knew back then? Re the optimism thing, I agree with you that it's something a person has to work on. Or move to Serbia. We have no other option but to be optimistic, lol.
