Very interesting! This shows a side of Adam I sorta knew about, but this confirmed it. "Controlling, with a smile." Very definite about what he wants, and the image he wants to project, and assertive about it. Plus, a perfectionist to boot. He would be considered a diva except for that 1000 watt smile, charming personality, and ability to connect with people and remember them when they meet again, even years later.

I don't believe him when he says he has no filter. He may choose to be open and honest, choose to be down to earth and natural, choose to be silly and spontaneous, but behind it all there is a need to be in control and monitor everything. This is not a criticism. It is one of his many strengths. And it shows how much depth there is behind the celebrity image.

Couple of points of information, asked throughout the pages and so far I have not seen answers, so I'll take a stab at them.

For newer folks:

If a new single is a safe bet, like Katy Perry, Rihanna, they get immediately added without any major test phaase, but for all others including Adam, the world looks different.

Radio stations add the song somewhere test-wise and see how it does. They do that in a few diverse and somewhat representative markets, often those are not in major metropolitan areas, but somewhat rural or sub-urban like these two. If the song gets requests in those markets then it moves on quickly beyond the test markets.

So, because of that Fresno and Boise happen to right now be very important and decisive for us.

Given that such stations rely mostly on local request, they can for example see organic growth and not fan base fueled growth. Now B104 and Q102 have marketed much more towards us via twitter and otherwise, Q102.9 has concert, so that is a much more mixed scenario.

As far as requesting, please go with the guidelines on page 1, Q3 knows that ten times better than I do.
Some things will remain a judgment call. To give you an example: I live in Harrisburg, a good hour or more away from Lehigh Valley, but B104 is occasionally within my driving range. I follow the station and I feel more comfortable requesting there, even though I am not exactly local. But I have been open with them about my zip code, so if they want to disregard my request they can. I don't think that is happening though. But I am probably branded as Glambert with them. But via twitter it is a bit tougher to trace (I am not usually using Craazyforadam, duh!).

In the middle, there is a section called 'B IN CONTROL'. Enter Adam Lambert in the search field and then make sure you click on Trespassing and not NCOE. Both songs are there.

But if you have any friends, family or others in Fresno or Boise or Eastern PA or Dallas, please try to get them engaged.

I hope that these two radio stations start spinning Trespassing during regular daytime hours and not just at night.

Otherwise, all adds are celebrated here, but most of the more detailed talk will be about spins and that happens then on the numbers thread. I normally understand numbers, but even I am at times puzzled, especially about bullets. I understand in principle what they are, but occasionally I find examples where they make no sense and then I know that I clearly have not yet understood it all.

But very happy that I see these adds. Good sign that things are being moved along. Now for some spins!
