I saw something yesterday about NCOE vs. 'Ghosts and Stuff' but didn't investigate further nor bring the tweets over. There is always some blaming and hating going on and as I am not familiar with all names, nicks and songs I didn't think twice about it. Now it seems to be 'news'. DJ: Lambert song a 'blatant ripoff' (Sep 18, 2012) www.lvrj.com/news/dj-lambert-song-a-blatant-ripoff-170143846.htmlThis is the music by the name mentioned that came up first on YT search www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV8eiSA4vqc
'....But Deadmau5 guessed Lambert didn't "produce" the song: "They just pay the kid to show up and sing." Gartner agreed.
I sent a request for comment from Lambert via Twitter, but no response came as of my deadline."
My favorite quote from this article. The KID was the executive producer (and same age as Deadmau5). I can hear that some of the synth sounds at the beginning of the song are similar. I don't hear a similarity in the melodies. I only listened to Deadmau5 once and it doesn't have much of a melody. No surprise the chords are similar because many popular songs have the same chords--nature of the beast. I also had to chuckle that the author of this article tweeted Adam for a response. I wonder if he really thinks he'll get an answer from someone with close to 2 mil followers.

Gartner wrote on Twitter:
"wow this Adam Lambert song on the radio 'close my eyes' is a completely blatant ripoff of Ghosts n Stuff. Chords, vocal melody, everything."
Then Gartner asked Deadmau5 on Twitter, "sound familiar?" Deadmau5 (who headlines Saturday at club XS) responded, "*sigh* whatevs."
But Deadmau5 guessed Lambert didn't "produce" the song: "They just pay the kid to show up and sing." Gartner agreed.
To be fair, Deadmau5's "Ghosts N Stuff" is influential and an electronic masterwork, while Lambert's pop song is different enough to be neither.

10 Things We Learned at New York Fashion Week (Sep 17, 2012) societeperrier.com/new-york/articles/10-things-we-learned-at-new-york-fashion-week/... 6. Blonds really do have more fun: When it comes to the Spring/Summer 2013 show design duo the Blonds put on this season, the statement rings especially true. It seems every season they raise the bar and with celebrities like Paris Hilton, American Idol's Adam Lambert and Amanda Lepore seated front show, their runway presentation show extra bright. In addition to several celebrities, a cast of characters made up the audience bedecked in flashy wardrobe from previous Blonds collections and one daring attendee dressed in only strategically placed ribbons. When one thinks of a fashion show, this was exactly it: over-the-top, colorful, fashionable and inspiring. ...
