Don't get sad over the EMAs or the AMAs. They are award shows created for the sole purpose of having a TV show. Th EMA noms are laughable! No Doubts single just came out and Taylor Swifts has been out only 4 weeks and she got a nom. She is nominated in a category that she hasn't even participated in for a year!! Swift in the "Best Live" category has to be a joke, right?! Idol would have done that for him, in spades. These national one-offs would help. How in the hell else is he going to be seen and heard by the masses. :dunno: More visibility = more sales. This isn't happening for him right now, and sales reflect that. :-/ It seems like there is a damn country special or awards show every week. Visibility is so great for those artists. sigh |

Trespassing did not show on the last played list on Dallas station either when they started to promo their concert and play the single. I assumed it was because the song has not been 'officially' given to radio (and thus is not on their computer system which automatically compiles the played list = info for listeners). With its emerging on mediabase forms I guess the time is near and it should receive mentions on the radio's informative playlists very soon.
I understand that the spins are counted anyway for the charts and there are some spins from other stations too (see numbers thread).

If Adam is going to be there too, he surely doesn't need those TV shows to be added. he just needs to be available. Hope it's true. |
