That's correct.  And Canadian. Oh no, that's right. The label didn't push "Call Me Maybe." It happened totes organically with Biebs and Selena Gomez "discovering" the little gem on YouTube and doing a singalong video to it.  Chicago KISS plays CMM all the time and never once have I heard them refer to Canadian Idol. I don't think they even realize she was ever on that show. |

voting is tedious business ... well at least I listen to TP while I do it .... btw ... chuckling of thinking of the McEwan boys doing this. Pillow fight, or just verrrry competitive abuse of the mouse? It is very ridic of course to want Adam to win over MJ, but I am voting to represent. Give it a couple of years and Adam fans really have a fighting chance. |

I'd kill to know why radio plays the songs it does. There are so many rumors. Independent promoters replacing payola. Radio "feel" for what will work, or radio research on what appeals to its audience. Requesting. PDs. itunes placement. Doing concerts, and on and on.
Why do some songs make it while other songs don't? The determining factor can't be quality; I listen to radio.

I don't think everything with Adam is necessarily a "secret" -- I think we catch wind of stuff very early on -- too early -- they can't say much because they don't have answers and they know we'll be hard pressed to hear more. jmo.
