Thanks for the thread. I hope someone else might enjoy a little conversation. I think many of the singers so far have been very good. Christina is behaving herself better, and all the judges have given worthwhile comments to contestants that are not chosen.

I particularly liked Suzanna Choffel doing Stevie Nicks Landslide tonight. The tone of her voice just seemed so right for that song, which I love anyway.

I finally caught up on The Voice from this week. I think there is some terrific talent--all a matter of taste after that. I'd much rather watch this than any other talent show because the singers are already good. We don't have to sit through all sorts or strangeness. Also, I think the coaches are entertaining. Xtina is behaving much better than before and they seem to enjoy each other--praising and ribbing. I am very entertained by this show. I think there is a nice combination of entertainment from the singers and the coaches. I especially appreciate that the coaches can offer thoughtful and constructive comments to the singers that they don't choose--something lacking on AI lately. There is talk about register, vibrato, building intensity, etc.

I like this show better than the others because of all the things you mentioned.

I think they called it boot camp week or something.

Have to say, watched The Voice again and was entertained again tonight. The talent is good and the judges do mentor the contestants. Xtina is much more likeable this year. I also like the addition of the steal. It helps mix things up and makes it a little different than all of the other singing shows.

Last year, when they would put 2 really good singers together, it was so sad to see one of them have to go. Now, another coach can steal the other person. I really like where they are going with this. I think this is my favorite singing show now. Xtina is a bit more likeable this year, but sometimes I really cringe at her style. Yeah, I know it's HER style, but sometimes it's just a bit too much...lol!

I agree with both of you. I'm really enjoying The Voice. I've also watched UK and Australia versions. The Australian winner last season was pretty good - I was rooting for her to win.
