Okay, another OT about the Paris Hilton debacle. I have to say this is exactly what I think of the comments she made. I know it was taken out of context, many of you have said so, but the comments she made were ignorant and stupid nonetheless. That part was the one that bothered me the most, since, as a doctor, I've seen first hand the discrimination towards HIV positive people because of the ignorance and the prejudices of our society. 2) AIDS is not a gay-only disease. 3) We know what damage control looks like. 4) Gay guys are not the only people who are horny. 5) The responsibility of having protected sex falls on the individual, not on this or that website. 6) You're a public figure, Paris. Be careful with what you say. |
