OMG, the homophobe commented again on my Facebook. Now he's asking me: "If you want gay people to marry, then why shouldn't I be able to marry more than one woman? I want poligamy, why shouldn't I get it?" I'm like: "Dude, do whatever you want. But I'm talking about equality here, not about giving straight people even more rights. You can already marry a woman, why shouldn't a gay man be able to marry his partner? That's what I'm saying here." Poligamy? What the fuck is he talking about? How are both things related? ??? ??? ??? : : : : : God, his grammar is the worst thing ever. That is what is known as a straw man argument. It's illogical and has no basis of fact but is meant to distract away from the original point because the person making the counter argument knows they don't have a leg to stand on. It's like when they compare homosexuality to beastiality or phedophilia. Both are crimes and have nothing whatsoever to do with being a homosexual but that doesn't stop people from comparing them as justification for being against homosexuality. |
