You could definetly be me. I need someone to write a rule for it as I usually have to substitute another word. And that clap is not natural. For anyone starting at the end of the thread, many many goodies today if you start from the beginning. We wanted Adam in stadiums and this one has 80,000 capacity. Doesn't look like the guy he's dueting with made it to the top 4. And this is the first season for the Voice/China isn't it? You guys! It is "stomp, clap" "Clap, clap clap" << these last 3 claps are faster than the stomp and 1st clap. Since I know nothhing about music beats or notes, can't tell you details. YAY! A visual! I'm practicing now -- Stomp-Clap, Clap-Clap-Clap!

Sweet Lord...Adam looks like a teenager...so cool !!! This is what love and passion do to you. so agree - I still think it all turned around after that December night in Finland. Like an epiphany - he's happier, healthier, skinnier, younger - all those "er's". And we are all the beneficiaries. And I do love that look ^ ;D ^

Honestly, why is it that Adam is perceived so differently in China, Japan, etc.? Ever since seeing that airport video I have been wondering. I am not a specialist when it comes to Asian culture, but here is what I think. I believe Chinese and Japanese audiences generally value talent and skills acquired via hard training differently. My belief is that Western society has come to a point where people become famous without being good at anything and without spending any time to learn skills, while the average population dislikes the feeling they get from being exposed to people who are better than them in anything. There are of course exceptions (many of them represented on ATOP ), but I am talking about the general tendency. In Asian tradition, acquiring skills in martial arts, yoga or even learning to read and write required many YEARS of hard training. Or look at Chinese Olympic athletes or even Chinese circus... Years and years to reach perfection. So I suspect the average person has a slightly different attitude towards vocal perfection like AFL. Also I have the feeling Adam looks a lot like a Manga character, so he might be fulfilling other fantasies just with his looks... Of course, I could be totally wrong, but this is my gut feeling. I think you have got something there, kryptoman. It's a potent combination!

Maybe because we in the US don't have to wait 2-3 years for him to visit. I mean he is here in the country most of the year. While his international fans have to wait - sometimes more than 2 years for him to visit them again and to be able see his LIVE performance. So when he comes to visit they really appreciate it. It's not that we in the US doesn't, but it just different. Also I think anything US /Western sounds grand in Asia.
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder"!
About the bold part, actually, very few popular foreign acts & artists can make a grand impression in Asia, particularly in China. Certain style of music and performance just wouldn't be able to make the connection. It takes right kinds of ingredients to really make a huge splash on the national scale, and I think Adam's got them: his talent, his irresistible charming personality, his style, his looks, and the biggest platform --- the Voice China. After tomorrow, he will be talked about in every newspaper, on every street corner, by every office water-cooler and above all, on the internet, then he will return in Dec. to bask in the glory of thunderous applause from tens of thousands of fans in a grand stadium, then he will reward them with his gift --- the voice of "Rock God"!
Okay, I'm not normally this mushy...later, lovelies!

This is both about an important movement AND an amazing program. On Palladia and Fuse in the US.
